A day after Apple announced it will be holding an event on September 12, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared more predictions for the iPhone 15 lineup.

The higher-end iPhone 15 Pro models are widely expected to be equipped with a titanium frame instead of a stainless steel frame, and Kuo said this change should contribute to the devices weighing less than iPhone 14 Pro models. Kuo said production issues related to the titanium frame, display panels, batteries, and a new stacked camera sensor for the lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have all been resolved.

Kuo corroborated previously-rumored color options for the Pro models, including gray, silver/white, black, and blue. Notably, this means the highest-end iPhones would not be available in gold for the first time since the iPhone X. He said the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available in black, pink, yellow, blue, and green.

Kuo also reiterated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max was the last new model to enter mass production, so this device may have the tightest supply at launch.

All four iPhone 15 models are expected to be equipped with a USB-C port and the Dynamic Island, while several other new features are rumored for the Pro models, including a faster A17 Bionic chip, a customizable Action button, Wi-Fi 6E support, and more. The devices should be available to pre-order a few days after Apple's event on September 12.

Why hasn't the rumor mill (specifically Kuo whose latest report was the telephoto camera driving better than expected sales of the Max/Ultra model) confirmed if it is going to be 6x (meh) or 10x? I say "meh" because Samsung has been at 10x optical for the last four S Ultra models while Apple languished at 2-3x - the bump to 6x just looks ike "we'll get you to upgrade again next year when we finally do 10x."

Blue or white seems to be really sexy. But a little bit sad, since i really liked the stainless steel look and feel.
It’s time for a change. The titanium on the Apple Watch Ultra feels amazing. The stainless steel is outdated and old now. Furthermore, say good bye to the fingerprints! Also, it’s lighter too. You are going to love the titanium more.

While this is just me, if I was spending well over $1000 for a mobile phone, a shock-proof case would be a requirement too. And since those cases can come in pretty much any color, it's hard to grasp the hangups about the "naked" color choices... except for those willing to take the risk of naked phone meeting pavement at some point for that exclusive & unique shattered glass pattern personalization (art?).

I choose to NOT even spend $800 for a phone, instead using cellular iPad Mini 6 to also cover phone and texting needs (Voip app with buds)... but even it is wrapped in a shockproof case, netting me a mocha brown iPad Mini 6 (which is not a color option from Apple). What color is it naked? I don't even recall for sure. It could be the most-coveted pee green model with pink polkadots and orange stripes. ;) The case color is the one remembered.

But again, that's just me. I know there are people who will put >$1000 purchase at great risk in a single fall scenario. It's only money. A few unfortunate slips and one could "collect them all" over the next year! 🎉

while I always use a case (bare phone is slippery) I also always get AC+, but that's just me

I feel like it’ll likely be 6x.

In my personal opinion and usage, 10x is widely overkill. I’d probably use it once just to see its capability and then forget about it. I barely use the 3x as it is haha so I might just be in the minority about this.

I was at a concert watching a man with a samsung record footage and was in awe at how much better it looked. 14 pro camera is so terrible I can’t stand it. I swear my 12 pro took better pictures

i always go for the darkest colour. the iphone 5 in black was the best iphone colour and i still can't get over it. the space greys are nice on the Pros but i want a really dark iphone. i'd get a normal iphone but the screen is too tiny at 6.1"
