I registered an account on Alibaba and they are indeed very responsive! Could I ask how much you paid for your monitor and the delivery time? They said they will cover the shipping and import tax and can delivery in less than a week. Apparently I just need to pay $1680 which is ~£1,265.88.
You might be able to get them down to $1620 if you ask them for a good deal. I asked if $1620 was the best price they could offer, they responded with $1620. No haggling.

So, is the only way to get full 4:4:4 6K out of this monitor is to use Thunderbolt 5 / DisplayPort 2.1 - M4 Pro or better, or else HDMI 2.1?

I have no idea.

What I've recently begun to do is to adjust my perspective, and not worry myself with having to spend time trying to focus my old iPhone camera on an image that I had to download, open with Preview, re-set the display settings, squint (and not let my hand quiver 1deg), snap, export, convert, re-name, upload, and receive feedback (as valuable as it all has been (thank you fellow Feed-backers)).

I'll get the full compliment of cabling/connections established over the next few weeks, but I'm not going to lose any further sleep in the vetting of the process ;)

Will I leap to purchase another G32P? No.

Would I consider another? Yes.

Septuagenarian eyes appreciate the increased accommodations!

How did yall connect the remote to the monitor? I bought batteries and still nothing.

CR2032's, correct?

The hand-held is a bit finicky about line-of-sight connectivity.

Make sure to do your clickin' below the right-bottom edge (where the IR receiver sits).

The remote is quite awkward, and definitely not my first choice to bring to Market if I were the Manufacturer . . . a slim, aluminium lozenge (to match the aesthetic) would be my choice 🤷‍♂️

The reason people worry about 4:4:4 is that 4:2:2 can significantly degrade fine text quality. It’s fine for TVs but not so much for general desktop computing. Thus HDMI with 4:4:4 would be highly preferred over USB-C with 4:2:2.

That’s another reason why I’m curious about the results from the Tcolor 6K which apparently uses a different chipset. It also has the added benefit of being much cheaper and has physical buttons too.

Aye.

I am curious, also, and might get to this connection over the next few weeks.

It's crunch-time for State Testing, and my Masters is going strong . . . 4:4:4 has to take the backseat to my 1:1 activities ;)

It should work because HDMI 2.1 (gross 48/net 42.6 Gbit/s) offers slightly more bandwidth, which USB-C (gross 40/net 38.7 Gbit/s) may lack.

What is the reason you wouldn't buy the Kuycon G32P again? I missed reading about it from you.

I paid £1,289.43 (was invoiced USD 1,680.00). I paid via PayPal. But that didn't include import tax and duties. Import tax and duties was £95.10, paid to FedEx on arrival in the UK. Shipping was super-quick and arrived here in the UK 3 days after ordering. I would double check the import duty situation just to make sure it's clear. Also I remember asking specifically for a UK plug.
Interesting, I ask them if I would have to pay import tax and duties and they said no. 🤔 I've ordered yesterday and it has not shipped yet.

That's a good suggestion! I wish I had done that. I assumed that negotiations are not possible.

I was wondering did anybody pay for Production Monitoring & Inspection Services? It cost $48 USD.

there is one another potential option but unfortunately no one bothered to try it in practice. I'm talking about EDID spoofing. We know that LG 6K does support 4:4:4 through DP1.4 so EDID from this monitor could solve the Kuycon's problem.

no. It doesn't work because there is some bug in macOS that doesn't let to enable DSC for DP1.4. At the same time this bug doesn't affect HDMI2.1 so it has working DSC.
USB-C as a standard has nothing with the issue. All the more so that the USB on the Kuycon supports only 2.0 speeds.

I'm now wondering if this is a bug with only the Kuycon, as it doesn't affect the LG 6K or the Asus 6K. So far there are no reports of this bug on the Tcolor either, but I'm not sure if anyone has specifically tested it on the Tcolor.

Who's talking about DSC with HDMI 2.1? I disabled DSC on the monitor and the image via HDMI 2.1 is still top notch.

It may be (basically) that I just do not really need another.

And, there are my concerns with screen uniformity:

I also have one Dell P2715Q attached (a veritable battleaxe), currently, and my real estate is quite luxurious.

Still, adding another G32p @1080p | 120Hz | HDR (with full backlight-adjustment ability) would be sweet :)

Not a defined priority right now.

the bug was present back then in Dell 6K time, however it could be already fixed for the Dell (by whitelisting?) in the newest macOS versions but we don't know for sure because I got no response to my post.

you're right, I still keep in mind older devices that don't support full-speed 48G HDMI and therefore require DSC. I guess your device isn't one of those.
