Just ordered the G32P from Amazon for CA $2,435 (they had a $270 discount). I contacted the seller (kuytec) before hand asking if they were a 3rd party seller and what their return policy was ... they were quick to reply with:

Should you have further questions, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help!
Best regards,
Kuycon Monitor-Official

No set date for delivery as of yet (to Victoria, BC) but supposed to ship in a few days. I decided to go with Amazon and spend a few more dollars vs. Alibaba but Amazon has never let me down regarding returns so here's hoping things go well.

Congrats! Two Kuycon owners in Victoria - who would have thunk this? :D

Thing is if it is being sold by Kuycon directly just through Amazon, any issues still goes to them and not Amazon, so you are paying more just for using Amazon instead of Alibaba?
How many times in your life has a monitor broken, and if so, how old was the monitor at the time?
Over the past 10 years, I've had 5 monitors.

3x DELL UP2715K (5K) (2x 10 years old, 1x 7 years)
2x Apple Studio Display (both 3 years old)
1x Dell UltraSharp U4025QW (in my office because of the ugly matte coating)

Over the years, only one monitor has ever failed due to an issue, namely the 7-year-old DELL UP2715K, because the display “leaked.”

All other monitors are running without any problems, and the biggest monitor problems I've encountered in the last 10 years were, ironically, those from LG, e.g., the 1st generation of the Ultrafine 5K display, a WiFi signal turned off the image, or in other generations of the LG Ultrafine, the monitor connection became unusable after 1-2 years due to a cold solder joint.

I agree. I find myself having now become an interior designer with my setup lol 😂 thinking more about the Kuycon. I am split as we know Apple are rumoured to be launching new monitors next year, but chances are the Studio Display will be 27”, however I could get by with that, just, but it will be mini LED we think so offer a better picture and HDR. I also think will Apples screen still being glossy be less reflective then the Kuycon? But the Kuycon is 32” and 6K.

I am going to hold out I think and see what happens next year. Of course the main issue will be getting an Apple monitor to work with both a Mac and a PC…… Something the Kuycon has NO issues with. Plus the Kuycon can go up to 144HZ at 4K. Choices choices.

Nice! Amazon emailed with an update this morning ... monitor shipped via UPS from Foshan, China. Should be delivered this upcoming Tuesday. I didn't think it I'd receive it for at least a few weeks so my new problem is how quickly I can get an m4 mini delivered. I'm replacing a 2017 iMac 5k (24GB ram and 1TB ssd) with the G32P/mac mini with similar ram and storage (or maybe only 512MB ssd) so I'll most likely need to order through Apple as Costco and Amazon don't seem to have similar configurations ... might need to check Best Buy or London Drugs.

Had a Dell 3007WFP that died after about 5 years ... issue was related to caps (I think) but I found a guy in the US that fixed the issue for a very reasonable price if you sent him the boards that needed the cap upgrades. After the fix it lasted until I switched from PC to Mac with a 2017 iMac 5k (I sold the 3007WFP for a couple hundred bucks). The only downside of switching was that I went from a 30" monitor to a 27" so I'm looking forward to upgrading to 32" when I receive the G32P next week.

The Dell 3007WFP has the exact same pixel density as the 30" Apple Cinema HD Display, and IMO, it's the perfect sizing for macOS text, at 101 ppi. (In fact, I wonder if it's the same panel.) Thus, my preferred Retina pixel density would be ~200 ppi (not ~220 ppi) for 2X scaling.

Like the Kuycon and Tcolor 6K monitors, my LG 6K is 224 ppi so IMO the default text size is a tad too small with the default 2X scaled 3072x1728 setting. I'm sticking with 2X scaling, but to compensate, I've increased Safari font sizing to 115%, which results in text sizing that would be comparable to a 195 ppi display. Text quality is excellent of course, but the size is just a touch large. Too bad there isn't a 110% setting in Safari, or say a 2720x1530 resolution setting in macOS (without using third party software). For text sizing, those would be analogous to 203 ppi and 198 ppi displays respectively.

Wondering if anyone in the US has ordered direct from Alibaba, and could share how import duties worked out. When I messaged them their offer did not include duties. Also curious how long shipping ended up taking.

Was this with a stand?
Yes, with the stand and shipping included.

They marked the value of the monitor as $400, so apply duties/taxes on that amount. Also, shipping to Canada took about 4 business days so I would assume it is the same as the US.
