If you are worried about buying a monitor from a "scam" website, there is an option to buy Kuycon monitors from a number of resellers on AliExpress. The prices are more or less similar, but a big advantage is that AliExpress offers buyer protection. I have very rarely had any problems with buying there, but when there were problems I always got my money back without any problems.

I will definitely buy at least one monitor, but I'm still considering which route is the safest and most affordable.
I've put Alibaba "verified" links up in the Retina 5K and Retina 6K WikiPosts. That's the closest one can get to buying direct. You can also see Click Clack is selling at close to wholesale - I think both are good options.

I'm working on adding Taobao right now, there is an "official Kuycon monitor store" [kuycon显示器官方店] -- here is a test of the direct link:

Another route to purchase is via Alibaba.com. They offer extensive buyer protection and it looks like it comes directly from the manufacturer.
Nice! About $100 less when shipping (US) included as well (compared to ClickClack).

They also sent me a picture of the packing crate.

Regarding ClickClack.io, I requested information regarding UK shipping and they have been very responsive, replying:
"Yes, we can ship to UK, and the shipping fee is including VAT Taxes".
So the total cost to ship to the UK including VAT works out at around £1,384.
Thanks good to know 👍

Pity the warranty is only 1 year and the hassle of shipping overseas for repairs/returns from here in the UK.

So I’ve pulled the trigger and purchased via Alibaba. I made the enquiry and purchase through their app and paid via PayPal. I had a conversation through the apps messaging channel with a sales representative and they offered me free shipping via FedEx door to door.
Nice! Did they say anything about tariffs? ClickClack shipped with a service that pre-paid the duties (was included in the listed price).

I reached out to the aforementioned Reddit mod who was trying to get to the bottom of what was going on with Kuycon, passing along what I had learned.

They related part of their chat with the "Kuycon Europe" representative who had been posting there. The "kuycon.it" site is not affiliated with the other three, which are related: "kuycon.co" (Kuycon Europe), "kuycon.us" (Kuycon US), and "kuycon.ru" (Kuycon Russia). The Russian site is older and dates to 2022, so I think maybe that is who is operating all three. The cryptocurrency emphasis/discount makes sense in that context. They probably do have a vendor relationship with Kuycon, but I'd be very surprised if it is for global sales.

The price I paid doesn’t include tariffs so that cost will come. I worked out that the total cost will be close the ClickClack price.

Update... The package is marked as shipped. Delivery expected before August 12. They also confirmed they would be supplying a UK power lead.

I must admit I had the onset of mild panic during the night, worrying that the user I'm communicating with aren't who they say they are and they're sending me a shipment of bricks or something. The company is marked as verified as Guangdong Kuyouke Display Technology Co., Ltd. so fingers (and toes) crossed.

You'll be in good shape since you used PayPal. I have had to use their claims resolution once or twice and they've always been reasonable and fair.

This is slightly OT, but I stumbled across it while in the Geekon store on Taobao. It says it will be unveiled at the end of July, so any day now. Basically a 6K with a four-sided backlight, capable of reaching 2000 nits peak brightness:

I should also have noted that the teaser for this describes it as containing the “finest self-developed domestic panel" [自研国产顶尖面板] -- I'll guess this means it is a BOE panel?

I'm in the UK and ClickClack.io also confirmed the same and that "If a fault occurs, it will be shipped to Poland and we would cover the fee".

let me know your thoughts when you get it. UK here as well and tempted to buy if reviews are good. But needs to be much better than my studio display.

Misunderstanding, I haven't ordered, I merely enquired about a few details, one being repairs.

So the good news is I've not been shipped a container full of bricks! I won't be able to plug in and test until tomorrow but everything looks good.

Congrats! Couple of things I found when setting it up: the thumb screw that holds the stand to the monitor is at the bottom of one of the cable boxes next to the USB adapters. Also, although the manual makes no mention of it, there is a power button on the bottom of the lower-right of the screen. Took me a few minutes to figure that out! 🤔

Again, off topic, and I don't mean to distract from the incredibly good news that both Click Clack and Alibaba are reliable sources for Kuycon displays, but Geekon remained true to its word and unveiled the HERO 32 (same link as above). The entry currently looks like this:

Geekon HERO 32 (Hero 超凡 series)
Panel: Quant IPS (four-side backlight) - 31.5" - 6144x3456 - 223 ppi - 1600/2000 nits - 2000:1 contrast
Color: 10-bit depth - 100% DCI-P3 - 100% sRGB - 100% Adobe RGB
I/O: USB-C (100W), 2x USB-A 3.2, 2x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1
## 3.5mm audio out

"Quant" is Quantum Dot, similar to the way LG Display uses "Nano IPS" (in the Kuycon G32P, for example) -- it refers an ATW polarizer used on the backlight.

The Hero series ("超凡" in Chinese, which means something like "otherworldly" or "extraordinary") will also have a 27" Retina 5K, a 24" 4K (~183 ppi), and a 28" 4500x3000 (~193 ppi). For now, the only one with any details is the HERO 32 Retina 6K. Note the following text, which I've interpreted as meaning they are all BOE panels: 国货旗舰 and 来自中国的超级旗舰 -- "Flagship Domestic Product" and something like "Original Chinese Excellence" (literally "superior flagship originating from China"):
