I don’t really need another row of apps, I just want the apps themselves to not be as large as they are. As others have stated, toggling between zoom display and non-zoom display barely makes a difference- which means the app icons themselves are larger on this device than they are on the Plus models. That makes me feel like I am using my grandma’s iPhone with all the elements blown up.

So essentially the only complaint is you’d like the home screen icons slightly smaller? I mean, they don’t look much bigger than seen on the X/XS.

This is the only complaint I have of my max. I wish they would use the screen to allow more content.

In which context are you speaking? Apps do show more content. There’s been plenty of example posted.

Even one more icon on the toolbar and slightly smaller would be a huge plus. This layout on this thing looks like one of those old people giant type phones. Or a kids toy phone.

Looks fine to me, basically same size as plus phone icons. Your mostly in apps anyway, and apps that are updated look fine. At least non updated don’t look like the ones when the plus first came out. That was zoomed in like crazy.

Let me start by start by saying I always like my text size as small as possible on my phone- I like fitting the most content possible on the screen.

That being said, I feel like the app icons themselves on the homescreen feel more blown up (like how my grandma has her setting) on the XS Max. And yes I have Standard Zoom display on, not the larger one. I had the 7 Plus prior and the app icon sizes felt smaller on that device.

Does anyone else feel the same or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
I definitely feel the same!! It's driving me nuts. So is the gap in between the keyboard and the bottom of the phone.

It looks great to me. Most of my apps are in folders and they all fit easily on one screen. It’s nice and clear with good space between folders.
