What's sad is Google has released an official folding phone in less than 2yrs development, meanwhile Apple cannot seem to get the huge hunk-a-chunk camera BUMP any smaller for over 3yrs +.
It's does give the hard shell case vendors a chance to catch their breath, and you find more choices in stock at some store. ;)

Sorry I missed the sarcasm (/s flag), or emoticon (lol, lmao, roflmao etc) indications :(

Apple should just be working on making the camera bump smaller, and not bigger and better.

I think Apple needs to be considering getting into the fashion industry, so they can produce garments with pockets big enough to take their phones. No longer will you be buying a phone, you'll be buying a complete wardrobe and a very expensive phone to compliment it.

Apple is interested in smart fabric! There was a patent about it.

My 13 pro max with a case fits perfectly into my pants pockets, and I have no issues with bringing it around with me. I don't really see what all the fuss is about.

I’m getting very strange vibes today about the new iPhone 16 display screen size. Does anyone feel the same? 🥴

Really excited to try out the iMat, I will not be using it until my 16ft screen protector comes in. Also the new Apple Polishing Towels that were announced seem to be really quality.

Okay okay...genuine question...

WHY ON EARTH are we speculating about an iPhone model that is approx. 2 years out instead of the one around the corner?
Because we pretty much know what we’re getting with maybe one or two minor surprises when it comes to the 15 series. The 16 series could get in addition to the larger displays a noticeable redesign as well but that remains to be seen. I think Apple might change the appearance of the camera since that design has remained the same for four, going on five generations now.

Look at a picture of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The camera bump looks so tiny compared to what we have now!
Facts. The smaller 11pro bump was really really nice.

The cameras seem so TINY now, though. Haha

You should get with all your giant friends and write to the airlines to put more space between the rows.

We will take it into consideration, we can’t even fly on commercial planes, however… we are an Apple cu… Well we will see, but we commit most of our time on Apple.

Compared to you, I’m probably a dwarf, but I’ll join you on the airline thing, for sure! You should also write to Mazda and Smart Car and demand that they make giant versions of the Miata and Four-Two. Maybe with V-8 engines and four wheel drive!

But a giant Miata with a V8 might as well be a different car.

You should write to Haynes and Fruit of the Loom and tell them your underpants are too tight!

You think they will make underoos in our size??

Uhhh…wait, you don’t have to be a giant for that last one to be true. The pinching, oh the pinching!

😏

I believe they already have a solution for you.

I agree. And of all nose sizes, chin sizes, eye sizes, foot sizes, and … wait for it, ego sizes too!

The only thing that can outdo the size of our ego’s is master Tim’s charisma. 🖖🏻🫳

That's fair. It's obvious people like them. I don't get it. I don't understand how they use these phones and carry them around when they don't fit in virtually any pockets anymore, regardless of whatever benefits a larger screen offers. That's what the iPad is for. If I didn't have CarPlay and couldn't get a car with it, I'd probably look at putting an iPad mini in my car.

I had a 13 Pro for a couple months and eventually got so fed up with the cumbersome size and weight that I went back to my 13 mini. The mini never felt too small, even right after switching back. I miss the telephoto lens a lot, but it's still not worth carrying around that massive thing...constantly struggling to use it with one hand and getting it in and out of pockets or finding a place to stow it when not in use made it a real albatross.

But when the smallest current iPhone is larger than the largest iPhone from just 4 years ago, something is wrong. Like I said in another post, human hands have not increased in size that much over the past 4-5 years. It's clear that Apple is selling millions of these Pro Max phones, whether the size actually makes sense for mobile use or not. But as you say, everybody's needs and wants are different. It makes no sense that they aren't also selling a current device smaller than 6".
Well. I carry a purse, large enough for whatever phone I require. My vision is compromised and while I am very grateful to not to be blind, my retinal detachment in 2006 left me with some extra impairments. I am able to get by very well with my pro max screens and I do not think they are anywhere near too big. yet. I get what you are saying about pockets, though. Even my leggings struggle on occasion.

This is the part that baffles me about the love for these huge phones. Who doesn't find the size inconvenient for a mobile device?

I had a 6.0" phablet years ago that didn't fit in some of my jeans pockets. These phones are bigger, bulkier, and heavier than that phone was. How do people carry these things when they don't fit in any pockets, and you need two hands at all times to operate them?

The mini was just about the perfect size and weight. Light enough to use while walking and not worrying that it was too front-heavy and would tip out of your hand. Small enough that you could basically reach the top corners without much struggle, even if your other hand was holding something or dirty. I just don't understand the appeal of having what is literally starting to look like an iPad mini that is somehow supposed to replace the actual, mobile, hand-held devices we used to call phones. It just makes the same device less useful and convenient when you're constantly having to lug it around and put things down in order to use it.

The average human hand hasn't grown by 0.2"/year since 2018. Why are phones?
I for one don’t find the size of the 14 Pro Max inconvenient to carry nor use daily. I also have a case on my iPhone and still am able to text one handed when I want to but can also use it with two hands. It’s not much heavier or bulkier than my 12 Pro Max. I wear tight jeans or shorts every day and have zero problems with fitting my 14 Pro Max in the front and back pockets.

I have had my iPad Mini 6 for almost a week, and am typing on it at this moment with two hands with zero problems. All in all, using a 12/13 Mini is so uncomfortable and cramped. Aren’t you glad that Apple have an iPhone for everyone?

Not saying Apple won't do this, but logically it makes no sense. I don't see anyone saying that the Pro or the Pro Max needs a bigger screen. Seems like a change for change sake and nothing else? Seems to me folks are pretty happy and used to the current size of the phones now.
I’ve wanted a big size screen ever since the 12 Pro Max launched. Even that screen is too small for me, and that’s from someone who have an iPad mini 6.

Facts. The smaller 11pro bump was really really nice.

The cameras seem so TINY now, though. Haha
It now looks weird! We have been made used to the big camera bump. Every year it gets a bit bigger. This year, it will be a lot bigger!

What about the SE? Or the 13 mini? The 4" ones were nice, but sometimes it was hard to tap on something.
Those are manageable. I currently use the 13 Mini. It's not possible to use one-handed, but it beats the current alternatives.
