I wish there was an Apple Store near where I live...like within 5000 miles. :(

Yeah, the Honolulu store, or possibly the Japanese stores are the closest to us.

Not for long though, you'll only need to take a 5 hour flight instead of a 10 hour+ one.

Sounds nice!

I can't wait 'till some Apple shops open here in Australia soon :D

hold on a minute. isn't there an apple store in bondi junction sydney. im pretty sure its a step above a apple reseller. i don't know it looks swish though

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

How about a few more Uk Apple stores? Maybe one in York so I don't have to travel so far would be nice.

i think i've been to 6 different Apple Stores

Three in the UK, all quite close to each other, and three in Florida.

Unlucky to those who are no where near one ! ;):apple::apple:

Apple Store Sydney

Due to open in mid-June apparently(Left City, Right Chatswood)

Sorry to brag, but I have 7 (last time I counted...could be wrong as it was/is late) Apple Stores within an hour of my house. Only been to 2 of them though.

Also, to people saying they are #### miles away...you must hate walking to your computer desk to get on the internet. :p:cool: lame, I know...

Is this Boston's first store?

I think this one may be a new closest one to where I live...

maybe not...

but this one appears about as far away as the other one and this one looks much bigger. (of course, being inside the city, it'll probably be a lot less practical to get to... city traffic = nightmare.)

It's the Apple Remote …

LOL

nUbs didn't recognize the Apple Remote.

i wonder if they will have iPhones...

Hopefully someone will be there Thursday morning and find out.
I see this as important in sorting this issue out. Or at least I like to pretend it would. It's driving me nuts.

you can tell there aren't enough true bostonians here, because no one has started a completely unrelated "yankees suck" chant in response to this news...

Love that dirty water!!!!

Interesting timing. Boston is "higher education central", and this store is opening right before commencements of BC, UMass(Boston), Tufts, Wellesley, Amherst, Brown (Providence, RI), MIT, Harvard, and a lot of others. People are coming from all over the world to these events, and returning. The grads already have iPods and laptops, but I wonder if there's anything else they might be able to use. Hmmmmm.

Is this Boston's first store?

Yeah, I've been traipsing to Cambridgeside for the last two years. I even took my 24" iMac there by taxi once for service at the Genius Bar. The Boylston store is definitely going to be a lot better...easily 10 times bigger, plus it's a 15-20 minute walk or 5 minute T ride from me (and most of Boston, for that matter), and I won't have to play the waiting game for a Green line to Lechmere. Yesterday to get to Cambridgeside I took a train to Government Center, then North Station and then finally to Lechmere because so few of them go the whole way through.

I also walked by the Boylston store last night and was amused that people were already congregating across the street, and I saw a few people chatting on iPhones. I snapped a couple quick pics while I was walking by.
