How many days is the perfect time to go to Las Vegas for ?
That really depends on what you want to do there. Just see sights in the city? Do anything outside the city, too? I'm in Los Angeles, and my girlfriend and I usually go several times a year. It's kind of like having a Disneyland annual pass, when we go, we just go for a few hours and don't have to spend the whole day there to get our money's worth. We don't have to do too much on any trip to Las Vegas because we know we'll be back in a few months. We normally only go for two or three days. If you've never been and are coming from farther away, maybe you would want to spend a little longer there.

I tend to think that two or three nights is just about right for Vegas, depending on whether you take any trips out of the city to see the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, etc...

That is pretty cool.

Few more weeks until we go.

We wish they monorail was running but there is disadvantages it is always in the back of casinos.

This is what our hotel room will look like in Las Vegas. Will save a lot of time too. It was not that expensive either because of the days of the week and month we are going. Thankfully. We were going to go for 6 or 7 days but decided we could only go 4 days which is ok. There will always be another time even if not that is still plenty of time in Vegas!

Streaming the max every day just to get your moneys worth will only drive prices higher ...

Plus if the Wifi sucks I can always use my 4g lte/5g but it is suppose to be up to like 20 Mbps I think. Which is pretty good for hotel internet. Of course I won't trust it though. All public internet at hotels you can not trust.

You have to go to Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk, if it's open now? you won't regret it!

Anyone here ever used car hire services like limos for from the airport to the hotel ? If so do you remember the company you used ? Was it good service any company you recommend ?

Btw the skywalk is open but it is a tourist trap sadly.

This is very true.

Going to take a quick 4 to 6 hour trip to the The Grand Canyon South Rim.

I disagree.

Actually, it is very true. I live here.

Once you get underneath the tourist trap that is Las Vegas Boulevard, you have the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, golfing, and Route 66 all within an hour's drive. You also have hunting within that hour's drive at Mt. Charleston.

After that, Las Vegas is a College town. Keep in mind that UNLV is across the street from the airport.

After that, Las Vegas is a retirement community. If you look at any Del Webb housing community you'll see that it is nothing but 65 and older. It's a second version of Florida, where the unofficial motto of Florida is "Come to Florida, and die!"

So yeah.. definitely a tourist trap.

As for when the best time is to go? It depends on the weather. With Vegas being high desert, you get a dry heat; there is no cool breeze or humidity in the wind, so it is hot and dry. If you want nice weather, you'll want to visit any time from mid February to the 3rd week of May. Anytime after that, you'll be guaranteed temperatures over 100F/38C from 10am until 9pm, and after 9, you'll be lucky if it drops below 95F/34C. You might catch the occasional monsoon, but with it being high desert, it would rain for about 15 minutes in sheets, and then be dry 15 minutes later, as if it never rained at all.

On the flip side of that, anytime from the 3rd week of September to the middle of November will get you the same sweet spot for weather. After that, you'll be in sweater weather.

Thanks.

The real Grand Canyon is around 4 to 6 hours away driving. Plane and Helicopter not so much.

We just got back and I had a awesome time!

Flight from 4 to 6 hours late but we both got a $500 voucher!

Planning our next trip!

This time dedicated to just The Grand Canyon for a few days or maybe up to a week. Depends.

If you have the chance and time on your next trip, rent a car and drive down to Laughlin. It’s on US-95 about an hour south of Vegas. Cross over the state line, which will put you in Bullhead City, AZ. About 10 miles south Of there you’ll find a turn-off to go to Oatman. Oatman was an old ghost town that has turned into a HUGE tourist site on Route 66. Clark Gable honeymooned there. Old saloons from the 1940s are still there. There are friendly donkeys that live there and if you don’t feed them something, you can expect a little surprise by your tires.. in short, the asses run the town!

the cool thing about this place is that the original segment of Route 66 is still there, and drivable back to Kingman, fully equipped with the classic cars, stops, old gas stations, the entire lot before they built the interstate. You can drive that all the way back to Kingman, then take US-93 back over Hoover Dam into Vegas. It’s a really fun day trip.
