I'll be genuinely surprised if the base 2022 SE MSRP's at $399.... $449 or $499 is what I suspect.Apple isn't going to sell an iPhone for less than $399. And if they add an A15 and 5G, $399 will be a bargain.

Well I'm guessing the same target market that prefers to buy a $400 vs $1000 phone also doesn't upgrade every year. This would make a nice upgrade for 2016 iPhone SE customers.Does anyone really care about it tho it’s the same se again it’s just the same old boring phone with 5g
I'm looking to buy this for my parents. their fingerprints don't even work on Touch ID. I guess as ya get old you're fingers wear down or something.I don't agree: making it an iPhone 11 would be the end of Touch ID in the iPhone lineup, and I believe there is still a significant number of people that prefer it.
Here's the math: 100% of lkalliances on the Macworld boards prefer Touch ID to Face ID. That suggests that 100% of users prefer Touch ID to Face ID!![]()
Need? Not really. But it’s something to read (as you did) on an otherwise boring news day.Do we really need an update on the se we know it’s coming with 5g and new chip nothing to be wow about
The battery life is bad for a 2022 phone. It's functional if you don't use it a lot or else you have to run to the charger after 30 mins of use.The SE is the entry level model. It doesn't need to be "exciting," just functional.
That's true for any device. What is your definition of "use it a lot"?The battery life is bad for a 2022 phone. It's functional if you don't use it a lot or else you have to run to the charger after 30 mins of use.
Touch ID never worked for me properly. My fingers were probably wet or dirty most of the time plus the glass home button doesn't help either it gets smudged most of the times and I think this is one of the reason for Touch ID not working properly. I have to wipe the sensor every time to use it.I'm looking to buy this for my parents. their fingerprints don't even work on Touch ID. I guess as ya get old you're fingers wear down or something.
Is it? Have you ever used the SE? The battery life is completely horrible. Every recent phone from 2020 is better than the SE in battery life. I can guarantee you that a $150 phone will destroy it in battery life. What is the use of 5G and a fast processor if you can't use it for long.?That's true for any device. Yeah, you are probably rightI'll be genuinely surprised if the base 2022 SE MSRP's at $399.... $449 or $499 is what I suspect.
Yes. I have used my wife's SE. The battery life was good... so good that (as I previously mentioned) I ordered one for myself. I'll definitely keep an eye on battery life and try to quantify my usage to help people have a perspective on what to expect given a particular use.Is it? Have you ever used the SE? "Use it a lot is basic" means web browsing, calls, social media, YouTube and etc. The things most people use a phone for. The current SE gives battery anxiety to anyone who uses it.
Edit: I just saw your previous post and learned that you have ordered the 2020 SE for $199. That's a great deal. Please let me know your thoughts on it's battery life after get it and use it for sometime.
Battery degradation is another problem. Since the SE has a small battery we can notice the degradation of the battery much more than the other iPhones with larger battery life. There's a huge drop in battery life after a year of use.
I thought this was what the majority of people were expecting for this phone, though. So not even a color change? So basically the only difference is 5G and A15. Apple can't release a phone this boring, I think this account is fake.
With a very different MSRP...
That's a fair point - but I think I'd put up with less than optimal battery for such an affordable phone. There's a whole market place to be cracked open and demographics that simply dont care about the latest non-SE phones. Is good battery life a gimmick? The battery on the current SE is very bad and it most probably will be the same if not worse in this upcoming SE.
If it aint broke...Apple pushing 8 years out of the same iPhone 6 design language, that’s some going!
A bigger iPhone SE Plus at least, please?
Through a carrier? Where can you get it for $199? ThanksExactly. I just ordered a 64GB Product(RED) iPhone SE for $199. It's going to be a great phone at a great price. I didn't think I'd ever go back to an iPhone, but I couldn't pass it up for that price.
Since the introduction of the original SE, it represents the greatest bang-for-the-buck iPhone and if this rumor turns out to be true, that tradition will continue. Apple just needs to hold the line on the price.
