All iPads with Pencil 2 support have cameras in portrait and the only one that has a camera in landscape doesn’t have Pencil 2 support. Based on that, sounds like there may be an issue with putting a landscape camera on iPads with Pencil 2 support.

I was wrong about that. Thought the iPad10 had the Pencil2 charging spot.
I wonder if the issue is shielding, or there isn't space for the magnet/charger between the camera/sensor array and edge of the device. Spacing is probably harder on the Pro which has smaller bezels.
