ahahahhaha the prices are disgusting! the mini has gone up from 381 - 499

hahahhahahahah stupid greed apple scum

They do...it's called an iMac.

an iMac has an integrated monitor that i CANNOT drive like a monitor (using other computers) since it has no dvi/vga IN port! So it sucks! Because I have plenty of monitor!

Your forgetting all the other parts of the processor, FSB and L2 cache you need to get over the GHz myth!! if it is going to have 2.0GHz it is likely to be the same one in the Macbooks now along with better graphics too.

LOL, I'm not about GHz myth, I know what counts. And yes, FSB, cache chipset, they count, but the new mac mini is still less powerful than my 2 year old mobile MBP. So it is a bit pathetic. I want a decent desktop, no rendering monster! So it should be at least as powerful as a current macbook, how can you not agree?!

Product differentiation. If Mac Mini is not good enough, they force you to jump to Mac Pro = a whole lotta more cash for Apple,...

not gonna happen. I'll rather spend another night or 2 to get OSX running on my very fast 3.6GHz windows machine, that only cost 600 bucks. Hackintosh! It sucks to get it going but hell, at least I get a decent machine, not performance from more than 2 years ago..

There is zero reason to purchase the $799 Mini. All you get is more memory and hard drive space, which most user's are likely to upgrade themselves for less than $200. Better off getting the $599 model and possibly a CPU upgrade depending on what Apple charges for that.

Did the iMac wired keyboard change? Looks like the numpad got chopped off from the new picture.

I find it humorous how some here thought that Apple would actually lower prices due to the economy. Apple doesnt give a **** about the economy, nor about those who cant afford its products. Even when their margins are as crazily high as ever. See the new mac mini- apparently, the previous price was just too low for Apple, and somehow, they've made it an even ******** value than before.

I can't believe I once thought this now out-of-touch company could do no wrong. This is pathetic.
