I dont think they are updating products as you can still access

I don't think any of the Apple Board would dare p*** our matey Jobs and do an anouncement. Only Mr Jobs has that god given Right!
Besides they would not be able to articulate the update in the Manner God Jobs does
does apple not realise there is a big economical crises going on? Is buying a new mac, appletve or airport extreme really on the top of once priority list? I think not. Might lead to losses for Apple and even its demise....

That's normal, they are usually up, even when there are live events going on, they update them within the last minutes of an event, generally.

Its the store thats down, ie http://store.apple.com/ not http://www.apple.com/
None of the stores are down that I can see, and I've checked most of em.....tyhe only new thing I've seen is on the Mini page where it says " the new Mini" but all the specs are the same some stores have the wording some don't.
no doubt it's coming though now. especially with that wording.....sheesh they know how to wind us all up don't they

errr, you sure you clicked the "store" link? Maybe clear your cache, though that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, companies like Apple should just sit on their behinds and not innovate or refresh/upgrade their products - even if these upgrades and refreshes have been in the pipeline for months. How dare they! This economic crisis started a whole 5 months ago! I, myself, am appalled at Apple's flagrant egoism!

I'm buying a new Mac Mini to train myself on software to make myself more marketable when the economy picks up again. I'm glad Apple is refreshing.

Lol, nice, I'm REALLY hoping for a new Mac Pro, hopefully redesigned - I REALLY want the powah!! It'd just be good to have a new design now for me, it'll be old soon enough.
I actually can't wait for him to be out. He's better at starting new things that catch the public's attention than growing customers with an established product. These tiny speed increases to 1 year and 2 year old products, are not going to grow their market share. They're content with staying in the black, not increasing their customer base. They've lost a lot of ground in graphics and education. It's great for the people running the company, but not so great for consumers and professionals (in regards to their computer hardware).
I know this sound funny, but err, I'm going to ummm, play some umm, DOS games, to kind of spend some time. Lol.
Except for the small elite who can afford it. I have to choose between schools for kids and morgage or a new imac, I am pretty sure what i will choose.
