Minor processor bump on 15 rMBP, corresponding to the three Haswell i7 Intel just released: 4770/4870/4980. 16GB RAM on the low end is really a surprise.
The price tag doesn't suggest price changes.

Edit: for those who can't read Chinese, this picture was taken in the just opened Chongqing Apple Store. The staff claimed that this is a system error. But it's more like an excuse considering intel has just released their new chips.

Let's hope that the real "system error" is lack of updated NVidia GPU.

Is this legitimate? Where is the picture from?
the haswell refresh processors are correct speed ; this could be legitimate ,and there kinda expected specs , besides the 16gb on the base that seems right in a way also , wouldn't be surprised if they get refreshed on Monday , and this would go well with a early 2015 (February-march) broadwell release as that will be in 9 months or so

Yes, it seems plausible. Apple have ordered my replacement 15rMBP, due to collect today. I will request (kindly) they reorder for the 2014 model. Mine is the base spec but I paid for 16GB RAM.

along with that i think the 16gb on the base was kinda of must ; i mean seriously your paying $2000 for a laptop with the same specs as the mid-tier 13" only difference is the screen and the quadcore

did you get a responce from them?
Not on the 2014 model. In fact they haven't even rang to say the new machine is ready for collection.

The manager ordered it at the beginning of the week. Because it was built to order, I'm wondering if they haven't delivered it as they are going to deliver the 2014 model?

in theory they picture doesn't exist yet lol , they guy that posted the picture said that he went asked the people that worked there and they said it was " a system error" ;); a system error that predicted the exact .2 ghz haswell refresh along with the same prices and somehow added a third edition ;)

Sorry but I can't read Chinese so there's no way to know that is a spec leak. I'm kind of doubtful. That is a store front print page of a computer does not equate to new MBPs being rolled out.

I'll be hugely disappointed if it is only a CPU bump. Assuming the spec list is showing the third model as an upgraded BTO one, not Apple offering the top model with a 1Tb SSD as standard.

I can read Chinese and it's just listing the specifications, which I'm sure you can understand by simply glancing at the numbers and the English names.

According to the forum posters on the source website, it's (claimed to be) taken at the just-opened Chongqing Apple Store. A poster mentioned that the employees responded that the "leaked" specifications were a "system error" when asked about them.

I hope not, I just pulled the trigger my base 15" rMBP. I could live without of .2 Ghz CPU bump, but the thought of paying the same price two weeks later for twice the RAM has me worried.

Now to look into selling my rMBP. Luckily I buy all my electronics in cash, though if the new base have 16gb, this going to significantly hurt the resell value of my machine.

A Dedicated GPU in the mid-range model makes me happy. If true, I'm sold.

Edit: wait, that's the same price as the current top end. So they're just adding a more expensive model. Not sold :(
