All 20 something white males like trash filled tired joke stuff?

I think everyone who dislikes Reddit just isn't capable of defining their own interests. And maybe a bit racist? Or mysoginist; lots of those around too.

Simply put; don't generalize; it's dumb.

I value opinion; and I like the non-standard opinions. People disagreeing with me is what I look for. If I want to confirm myself I'll buy a einstein- bubble head; "jah my freund das ist right"

The irony of your post is not lost on me. The most popular/default subs are latently, if not overtly, racist and mysoginst. Both the content and comments support that. And the "hive mind" encourages the behavior.

As far as your comment about generalization, how else is one supposed to talk about Reddit? It is not possible to discuss every individual user. So no, it is not dumb to talk broadly about Reddit users, the majority of who are white, 20 something males. And to answer your other question, yes the majority of Reddit users do like trash filled joke stuff as that is the content and comments that get up voted to the main page/top of comment threads.

Your are allowed to enjoy Reddit. That is up to you, but to hold Reddit up as a bastion of "non-standard" opinion is frankly hilarious. On any popular or default sub, any opinion that goes against the hive mind is downvoted to oblivion.

The most popular topics on any media are filled with stupidity; it's not reserved to 20yo while males. It's simply indication of a bell curve.

I'm not saying Reddit is a bastion of anything. I'm saying it holds a few very special subreddits that helped me gain some of the best insights I've ever had. Your dismissal of an entire community because the surface seems muddy (to you) is simplistic and silly.

My dismissal of a for profit business because of the level and type of rhetoric they support either directly or indirectly is neither simplistic nor silly. This has nothing to do with "the community". I choose to support other sites (or communites) that provide the same things that "special subreddits" provide but without all the baggage.

Again, you are free to like the site and ignore what you don't like on it. I don't even disagree with you on your point that there is some great content on Reddit (AskHistorians being a good example). But to me, the "bad" of Reddit extremely overshadows the good, to the point that I no longer want to give them my business or any content.

For some reason when I tap "Redeem" nothing happens, anyone else have this issue? I can see all the notifications, but the Redeem button does nothing.

This is why search engines suck now in finding information. The cesspools of Reddit, Facebook and Twitter make it impossible to find anything relevant anymore. No one posts "useful" information on forums like they use to and I don't want to have to see all the vulgar crud to find one answer that I use to be able to find easy before this social media junk polluted the internet more than ever.

You do realize that reddit is just a collection of links to other sources, right?
