Just looked it up... you're totally right. Apparently it's only compatible with A9 and A10 chips. Yet despite this they'll be forcing older devices to update to iOS 11... Not cool.

Did you ever try Google Glass? They could interject a small, low-res image into a corner of your field of vision. That's as far from a hi-res, full-field AR display as it can get.

We'll have to see if and how Apple could evolve this into some head-mounted wearable, but for now Apple's approach is already so much more impressive than Google Glass ever was!

Then Google will drop the project in 2 years, release another gimmicks. Media talks about it as the next big thing, Google stocks goes up. The cycle never ends for Google and people don't realize that. While Microsoft wants to bring the technology to the market. Media ignores it while Microsoft keeps pushing. Eventually it takes them a while to realize they're losing money. Then go back on its money making business like Windows and MS Office and collecting royalties.

What I like more is when media say that Google is in the “web search business”

Ahah! Nobody pays for Google search, hows that a business? They are in the advertising business, and 90% of their revenue is that.

Why will anyone be forced to update to iOS11? Do Apple employees come to your house and beat you until you update to the latest iOS version?

I don't know why Apple forces upgrades to old devices. There is no need for Apppe employees to come to my place because they have the means and the intent to push iOS 11 over the air.

They don't force upgrades.
 
I must have a different set up - I have repeatedly connected an iPad to iTunes and have repeatedly said not to update iOS.
