From the MacBook Pro to the Mac Pro, Mac mini, iMac, Mac Studio, and MacBook Air, it can sometimes be exhausting to keep up with each product's latest rumors and leaks for what's coming next.

For sure! We again have no insight of how the AS evolution will be rolled out. M1 -> M2 -> M3 speculation is full of assumptions. Apple has made it tough for us to guess their plans.

Apple does not know chip yields until far along in the chip production process, and even then yields keep evolving. Since yields directly impact costs I suspect Apple itself keeps plans flexible to try to optimize. I would think that the ability to adjust products sold to actual chip yields in shorter time frames is one of the big benefits of Apple rolling its own silicon.

I wouldn’t expect an update for the Mac Studio until late 2023 or at he 2 year mark in ‘24. The Max chips will almost certainly go to laptops first before a desktop, and a specialized desktop as the Studio is.
We disagree. Yes the MBPs will get serviced first because they are overdue. But once M2 Max yields are cost effective it makes sense for Apple to also put them in Studios sooner rather than later unless there is some unexpected chip production problem. No way will it be 2024 before Studio shifts to M2 chips. Tech vendors keep improving or they die.

Personally I do not consider the Studio to be a "specialized desktop." IMO the Studio is the solid midrange multipurpose Mac desktop servicing folks dealing with images like art directors, photographers, etc. Me.

I'm still holding on to my 2019 i9 MBP with 64GBs of Rams and 4TB SSD. I do photography/video work as a hobby and alot of my software/plugins still don/t have full Apple Silicone support.

I just bought a eGPU enclosure and a high end graphics card should rival Apple's silicone performance for a while. Ideally, I'd like to get a new MBP in 2024 with an OLED Display, Thunderbolt 5, Wifi 7, and and no notch. Blows my mind they added a notch but didn't give everyone face ID as well.

1) Always-on camera for Face I.D. is a security problem. Some businesses flat prohibit them on the premises.
2) MBP input is through the attached keyboard, so touch I.D. is easy-peasy, very logical.

China is having as many problems with manufacturing as they have had at any point in the last three years. It's not getting better. You can guess when you will have the parts and the people to assemble the device. If you are lucky, your guess will be close.

The country’s rapid rollback of Covid restrictions came soon after. And while the easing of rules, such as allowing Covid patients to isolate at home instead of being taken to a government quarantine center, is a long-awaited relief for many, skyrocketing cases have also prompted widespread anxiety among a population that had been largely shielded from the virus since 2020.
I believe that a lot of production will be restarted shortly if its not already is.

India in the meanwhile is very risky
While the national government is fully in favor of growing its manufacturing economy, local government is often more concerned with protection of existing land use, and frequently opposes new developments. In particular, local government typically works to protect small-scale landowners like farmers from compulsory purchase orders by the national government.
Companies located in Vietnam in recent years is expanding what they make for Apple. It's not like we in the states haven't received Apple products made there. My 24" iMac was made in Thailand representing another close country where Apple products are made.

Yes Covid has stunted production a bit, but the outlook is not as bad as earlier this fall now.

The top lid of a MacBook is too thin to support the FaceId hardware used in the iPhone and iPad Pro. While it might be possible to create thinner versions of this hardware it isn't what Apple is currently using in the rest of its products.

Since the keyboard is always available on a MacBook, there isn't much incentive to spend the R&D dollars to figure out smaller FaceId hardware if it is even possible.

Samsung figured it out a few years back. They have under the display front cameras. So, other companies are following suit. I can't speak to the quality of these in display panel cameras, but that they do exist.

There is the quality issue but also security. Apple's FaceId is pretty unique in its security features. Like I said, it might not be impossible but it probably isn't worth the R&D dollars when you always have a keyboard with a MacBook. As for the notch, it really isn't a big deal (at least for me).

Yet, iPhones keep coming out same time every year. Amazing!

Yes a Mini Pro is coming. Just do not expect it to be a Studio at Mini pricing. Apple broadened and improved their Mac desktop line by adding the (IMO superb) Studio with ports and improved heat removal, so expect the Mini to (IMO appropriately) be solidly aimed at the lower end now that Mini no longer services all the way up to the lowest end Mac Pro.

Just my personal $0.02. Also I would not personally be surprised if Apple kept an Intel Mini in the lineup for purposes of servicing some important legacy markets like K-12 edu and/or servers.

There are four flavors of M1 chip, and M1 Pro is the only one that didn't make it into a headless desktop. I'm willing to put down a couple kilobucks for the M1 Max Studio, but I've been waiting for the Mx Pro mini shoe to drop before I do. Instead we're stuck between floors.

I future-proofed my current mini (a six core, 12 thread i7) pretty well when I got it in early 2019 so I'm not in a rush to replace it.

new mac minis can't come soon enough!
You do kinda wonder about the future concerning intel Mac mini and intel Mac Pro. Apple has been leaving the door open so to speak for businesses that rely on increased compatibility to legacy software for the Mac.

As for the m2 or something else going in the Mac mini, yes it's been two years and m2 update is not an eye opener, but it might be acceptable for most. Certainly can't hurt for Apple just to release it. Waiting forever is worse.

colour iMacs are not getting enough recognition
Fair point, if we can see an endless amount of Beats PowerPro wireless earbuds without improving the product that Apple owns, there should be more colored Mac offerings. I thought the M1 24" iMacs were very attractive in seven different colors. The M2 MBA's took a clue from IPad/iPhone offerings and offered 4 colors. The choice of silver vs space grey in MBPs was nice. Both the Mac mini and the Mac Studio could use a space grey option besides silver. Even the next Mac Pro could benefit from that choice. Yes consumers like to customize their computers appearance if possible.

I want to replace my late 2013 27" iMac but with what? The 24" iMac is too small, the Studio is too powerful for my needs and the Mini is too old. A new Mini is my preferred option but it's starting to look like I might be waiting for a while yet.
How about a 14" M1 Pro MBP with an external display. The base model is discounted in the states at $1599 USD, how about the UK? Then pair that with a 27" - 32" 4K display for about $400.

You can’t be serious with this misleading clickbait headline. The summary of your article is, everything mentioned will be released sometime in 2023, probably. That is not news nor information but basic knowledge based on Apple product cycles.
