I believe it was per device, but prior to the forum layout switch, there were visible subforums for launch meetups (for iPhone & iPad, and some for Watch before we realized it wasn't possible).
I see that I can still access these by going to my post history, but that the groups are no longer listed, such as when I look at the list underneath iPhone.
Was there a particular reason for this, and is there possible reinstatement of these being options?
Only asking since that time will shortly be approaching for many of us.
EDIT: I see it was listed in this post https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macrumors-forum-reorganization-aug-2015.1908989 due to inactivity. I see it having potential to return though as everyone gets ready for the 6S/6S Plus and iPad Pro. Still curious on other opinions!
