Not interested in a foldable. Even an Apple foldable.
I love the idea of the return of Touch ID though.

Because Touch ID is crap in comparison to Face ID, and the fact that by the time this comes out I would have been using Face ID for about 9 years, so I don't want to go backwards in technology.why is that?
I am curious, what do you use Dynamic Island for that it has become a must have feature? I am on my first iPhone with the Dynamic Island (17 Pro Max) and not sure what it really brings to the table that I could not live without.I really want this, but I don’t know how I feel about no Dynamic Island or Face ID. The former provides me with a lot of useful information in my experience and the latter maybe still isn’t as fast as 2nd gen Touch ID was, but is inarguably more secure.
I imagine the Dynamic Island will stay around as some kind of software-only feature. They put far too much developer/API effort into it to just completely drop it.I really want this, but I don’t know how I feel about no Dynamic Island or Face ID. Never touch v 1.0 hardwareBasically everything screams stay away from version 1. The lack of FaceID and diminished cameras are the obvious improvements for the following year model.
Instead of bringing the innovation “A game”, Apple insists on crippling any new device category to play it safe.Yup, lack of telephoto lens is the 2nd reason for my no-go, and I would love a foldable
I use it all the time for audio/video (on my Apple TV) controls; I love not having to exit the app I'm in or swipe down to get to the lock screen to control those things. And the little statuses for battery when I connect AirPods, live activities...I am curious, what do you use Dynamic Island for that it has become a must have feature? The answer is nothing. It brings nothing. It’s only a thing becaue they gave it a catchy name ‘dynamic island’ wow. I dont wanna miss out any islands, even dynamic ones. Take my money.I am curious, what do you use Dynamic Island for that it has become a must have feature? I have wanted this device for a long time. Day one purchase. But I won’t because I’m not going back to touchid.TouchID is a no-go for me.
At the rumored price point it gotta have faceid, don't care about the "thickness"
Woild still have preferred a phone that turns in to the size of half a phone. But i guess that ship has sailed, and you cant charge as much i guess.Ok, a phone that turns into the size of a tablet when I want? Give it here. Oh it’s 3k? Take it back lol.
Touch ID for the win! Face ID would have been no-go for me. Can’t wait to buy this.TouchID is a no-go for me.

Seems a bit strange that a device you say you have wanted for a long time but you won't get it because of one feature like FaceID. You would sacrifice all the other stuff you wanted simply because you have to use your finger instead of your face? It could do everything you ever needed in a device but because of how you login that is what ends it all. I think you have probably not really wanted this device for all that long or ever. While I prefer Face ID, logging into my phone is the least of my concerns for what it can do.I have wanted this device for a long time. Day one purchase. It’s 25C here and sunny, I always have to seek shade to use Face ID. So happy to see the return of touch id. Can’t please everyone. LOLThe no FaceID thing is so strange, but there are enough rumors about it at this point to make it seem like it's definitely going to be TouchID only. It was 17F here this morning, the idea of having to take a glove off to use a phone outside in the winter is pretty much a non-starter, and I'm otherwise super interested in a foldable.
Ironic, it’s the opposite for me.I have touchid on my iPad Air, success rate is maybe 60%, faceid on my 17PM: 100%
Doesn't bode well...The device is said to prioritize thinness
After working with sandpaper TouchID doesn't work for at least a day lol - I used to store my left pinky as one of the fingerprints since it was the least affected but sometimes even that would fail.Sweat or moisture can reduce its effectiveness
It also reeks of overconfidence in how quickly they could scale down the FaceID techGoing back to touchID after years of faceID sounds like a MAJOR downgrade to me
