Why is the Apple Logo not centered? And the picture of the panel with the Apple logo looks like a foam meat tray spray painted aluminum and the logo photoshopped on.

This is what I got when I tried. It seems like its tricky because of the angle of the shot and the low resolution, but to me it looks centered.

Looks...groovy.

Let's hope they release it by late August, otherwise I'm buying an HP tx2500.

oh boy here we go again...:D:rolleyes::D
but even though it looks as if the apple is sideways.. people on the comments of the story on engadget think its looks right.. but it doesnt look very proportional to me

There appears to be a piece of the packing material OVER that portion of the cover. If that's the case, it's in perfect proportion.

I hope the motherboard remains similar to the current offering, while the CPU is modernized. I've grown rather leery of first gen Apple notebook products.

I don't know what you're all looking at, because I don't see anything that's hard to imagine yourself. It's just the MacBook lid, albeit an aluminium one. It's similar to all Mac notebook tops.

Right, its the plastic that prevents the macbook from looking proportional. The plastic our nice apple machines come covered with when we buy them :)

I'm going to go with real. All of the leaks over the past couple years (3G, nano (fatty), aluminum keyboard) all had me thinking "no way", but this could be it. If so, I like it. Also, I noticed the small perforations (microphone I think) near the isight camera now match the style of the macbook air.

By the way, my first post here, but been a reader for years.
