yeah...i mean this just doesnt excite me that much. I personally like the white...

I don't know what you're all looking at, because I don't see anything that's hard to imagine yourself. It's just the MacBook lid, albeit an aluminium one. It's similar to all Mac notebook tops.

The devil's in the details. I'm digging the tapered edges, a la the MBA. And the aluminum will be a big upgrade for the MBs. Very sharp indeed.

It will be a fat MacBook Air!

Which seemed pretty obvious, all the way back to when the MB Air first came out.

I'd been expecting this, and lo and behold, that's pretty much what these pictures are. I believe they're real. If they're not real, I'm still betting that it's a great guess and will end up being very close to the real thing.

well, it looks pretty decent. will the wireless signal be affected by the aluminum? and, maybe a dumb question, but, with no electronics in the top half of the case, where does the isight go? or am i just being ignorant?

Nice design, but I wonder if this is going to get really confusing for newcomers seeing as Apple's laptop line will all look very alike.

This is the big case redesign people were waiting for? Tapered edges?

edit: Oh, I see this is the MB not MBP.

what did you expect!? It to come wrapped in a hot pocket?

The whole thing is different! From plastic to aluminum! With tapered edges!

edit: he edited his while i was posting this. Haha. No problem buddy.

seems fine to me.

Here is a photo taken at another angle of my MBA. The same method to determine the center is used.

That looks the same as the other picture.

Look at one side of the X where its smaller than the other side (where the angle is away from camera).

I'd say with that angle it looks straight to me.

The casing does not have the electronics in it yet, but it will. The iSight hole is already in the top of the case. :)

No this is a great question. The iSight is very small and a little wide. There is just enough for the camera wires, and support padding. It's tough to see on this picture.

If this is real, then it looks like the MacBook STILL doesn't have a smaller foot print. The bezel around the LCD panel area gives it all away. It's still going to be a HUGE 13.3" notebook. They could easily fit a 14" screen if they slimmed the bezel down.. Better yet, shrink the bezel down to the 13.3" lcd screen size and it would make the foot print a lot more tolerable. You've gotta admit that the MacBook is a LARGE 13" notebook. They have the height just right (1.0") but depth and length are huge.

I'll be looking elsewhere for my next sub-notebook if this is true.

I am still trying to figure out what I am looking at here. The images are confusing. Looks vague and odd; does the screen fold back? So you have a keyboard under the monitor? Uhg. Or do you fold up your tablet? :p
