Leaked Images Show Google Pixel 2 XL Smartphone With Minimal Bezels

No front facing speakers, no widgets, no smart sensing camera, no 128gb, no way to customize your phone, keep your boring apple.
No, Apple users get 256 gb and there are plenty of settings and wallpaper options for customizations. No, it's not the same as Android, I'll grant you that. But I can hardly say the Pixel is setting my heart aflutter, either. It looks like a solid phone that should serve Android enthusiasts well, and if I had money to throw around, I would be interested in it. It's not exciting, though. It's just a nice solid option. Frankly I think the HTC U 11 looks like a nice bang for the buck in comparison. I had an HTC 10 and thought it was a really nice buy for the money compared to the first generation Pixel.

Too much is always about Samsung and the Galaxy/Note series. At least Google being in this market, gives the consumer another option for android, alongside LG as well. I think the first Pixel did really well, aside from shortages. Ultimately, I think Google will be a long term player in the android market, and having more options opposite of Apple, allows for more competition in an already expensive smartphone era. Especially given increased price point of smart phones today.

Geez, even Huawei Mate 10's camera and overall rumoured look fares far better. For the record, Huawei also teamed up with Google to make the Nexus 6P.

I bet you won't in day to day use...

It's the, it's not there. It's there. It's not there. Bars. No bars. Bars. Notch. Bars. Notch...

It's there, it's not there. It's there, it's not there. Clock. No clock. Clock. No clock. Clock...

Speak for yourself. I'm fine with these, I'll be fine with the notch.

Not sure if you're joking. Aside from being a distinctive look (some like it/some don't), the notch doesn't provide extra screen real estate... useful screen real estate.

Of course it does. Status bar info goes in the notch leaving the regular part of the display free for whatever you want.

he meant the clock and all that little info at least have their own space, and not interact with your content, so kudos for apple using every corner space

They r all getting insane with pricing. Trying to fill the gap by the shrinking tablet market or can we thank Apple for that.

Also this looks like a 199$ device.

Minimal bezels my ass. However, it doesn't have the hideous notch, but lacks a completely-useful headset jack. Factor in the high prices and it's a pass.

Not trying to justify anything. I wouldn’t go android no matter what it looked like. But the pixel is straight up ugly. Can’t wait for my X

No you are. You come to a post about Android and saying this Pixel 2 phone makes your iPhone X purchased much easier. This is justification in my book.

Anyway, I will look at Pixel and Haiwei Mate 10. Will decided between these two. iPhone is not in my consideration at all. Do not like iPhone and iOS.

Compared to what? Other smart phones that look the same. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But more importantly, its what the Pixel offers, aesthetics eventually wears off and it's all about the user experience.

Why would I need to compare it to something else? If it's ugly, it's ugly. And this phones looks beyond ugly to me.

See what you did Apple, now everyone wants to make a bezeless phone. That means your gonna lower the price of the X next year right?

lol Apple weren't the first to do this by a long shot.

Also yes, the price will drop next year, just like every iPhone ever has done.

What do Android users do instead of visual voicemail?
"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works"

I have an S8 that I don’t use anymore but that was one of the annoyances that I had with Android. I thought visual voicemail worked on all phones. I had to actually listen to my messages and it felt weird going back to doing it that way. I wonder if there is a third-party app to get it working, but I didn’t bother to look because I knew I wouldn’t last long with the S8. Waiting for the iPhone X now!

I think bezels will make a comeback to something in the middle more like this phone. Does a phone really need to have 0 bezels? Give me a small home button

I actually really like it? The XL that is. Don’t get all the hate here. The smaller one looks really outdated though, even more so than the iPhone 8.
