the speakers in iphone 8/x sound a lot better than 99% of todays smartphones, you have instead of 128 storage, 256 for just an extra 50$

In the US...64GB iPhone X costs $999; 256GB iPhone X costs $1149. That's $150, not $50. And since you mentioned the 8, the 64GB 8 costs $699, the 256GB $849 (again, $150), and the 8 Plus 64GB costs $799, the 256GB costs $949 ($150, again).

Poverty 128GB storage.

Actually the iPhone does have a front facing speaker.

And not sure you read it but the top article on the homepage shows industry analysts say "TrueDepth Camera Gives Apple 2.5 Year Lead Over Android Competitors". The iPhone X camera is way ahead of the weak "smart sensing" camera on this Android phone.

And are you serious about complaining that there's no 128GB option with the iPhone X?! For a couple bucks more than Android charges you to go from 64GB to 128GB, Apple dives you 4x the storage with 256GB.
How can you say the camera is way ahead when we have no clue how it performs considered it hasn't been released? Unless of course you're referring to face I'd which doesn't affect actual photos, at least at this point.

Yes, you get more storage at a small cost on apple, but Google gives you fully uncompressed cloud storage with no limit. With a256 device you're going spend another $36 a year in perpetuity. Multiply that by millions of users and that alone is more revenue than most companies

Apple knows what they're doing.

It amazes me what people get up in arms about. It's like racism, but for phones. It's exactly the same thing. Human beings are disgusting.

Pi

Pixel gives free unlimited cloud storage at full resolution for photos and video.

So? Local storage is still far more useful in almost every use.

Look at you trying to deflect and justify the fact that Google doesn't offer a 256GB option. If Apple did that, the Android fanboys would absolutely lose their minds and slam them non-stop for the omission. It's hilarious that when Apple lacks something it's world ending but when Android lacks it, there's a perfectly good solution.

Enjoy uploading your photos to the cloud while the rest of us enjoy twice the native storage for about the same price.

Hahahahah. So your justification for the fact that Google gives you LESS storage space is at least they don't make some money on it.

Who cares about uncompressed cloud storage? Apple offer that too. Fast local storage is still far more useful to 99% of users than cloud storage which requires processing power, battery life, and data usage to make use of to store some silly images.

You also seem ignorant to the fact that local storage can be used for stuff other than pictures. Google and Apple may give you cloud storage for storing photos but increased local storage can be used to store ANYTHING, not just photos, again making it far more useful.

This is the alternative to the notch - a bezel.

I prefer the extra screen real estate.

I know others have already chimed in but the image you posted just makes it more obvious that the screen isnt really being utilized. Look at all that blank space above the top row of apps. I think Apple needs to adjust the home screen layout, its been the same forever and now with more screen space we should have something new. On the plus size models its really obvious that you can fit more icons on there, the extra blank spacing is gross.

How y’all gon’ say the Pixel 2 XL is ugly when the iPhone X got this big ass forehead

Smh...

Only reason the iPhone X “isn’t ugly” is because y’all want that OLED iPhone and ain’t nothing you can do about the design

I'll look back into this comment when the Pixel 3 have a 5head next year...

I'd take the notch over the larger bezels on the XL. Also the back of the Pixel 2 looks like someone just randomly placed the camera, microphone, and flash. Not a fan of the two tone either.

All T-Mobile phones have visual voicemail. Cant say same for other carriers.
All carriers have visual voice mail on Android. I moved from iPhone 6 to S8. And that was my first worry. If you buy a locked phone, the visual voice mail is right there on the dial screen. I bought the unlocked one and I had to download the visual voicemail app for At&t from app store. And I am all good.

The iPhone X is two tone (the white one)

And it's not super random, it's not the best but it's not horrible―the dual cameras are awful looking on the 7 and 8 Plus

It is random. The distance from the top isn't equal to the distance from the left. 1/3 of the back is a different color and material. It looks bad.

Looks good to me

I mostly agree, but I feel like Apple should have gone ahead and letterboxed off the notch in videos.

By default, 16:9 videos will have bars on the sides, which hides the notch. Videos wider than 16:9 will have bars on the sides and top, with the notch still hidden.

The user has the option to zoom in for both cases, with the notch showing.

Thanks, I guess I haven't been keeping up as much as in previous years

Why did nobody mention that it doesn’t even have a dual camera setup for AR? When Google they themselves are pushing for AR too? Seems like an epic missed opportunity

The vast majority of consumers could care less about AR. The tech has matured to a point that again, the vast majority of people, just want a phone that works with the rest of their life.
