Black looks a little less nerdy than white. These HUD glasses will be viable soon once we reach 3nm node to overcome battery life and form factor hurdles. Hopefully, by then they'll look more like normal shades.

Which device are you hoping to see?
I'm actually fine with what I have but since you ask...

I would like to see a homepod-like Apple TV system. A device with a screen and built-in speakers that I can just plug in (i.e. a single wire coming out of the device) and have it play music only, music videos, and stream TV with siri commands or via iPhone.

no doubt some of the concepts are cool but i wonder what you guys would be saying if this were a video from apple.

Alright, who else is taking snapshots of this thread so we can look back and laugh 10 years from now when we’re all wearing smart glasses? ;)
I've already owned Google Glass. Honestly, even though it had limitations, one being Android OS, it was my all-time favorite piece of tech. I can't wait for Apple to release a HUD like Glass.

I have no words...except for those words that I have no words 🤣

Looks like one of those heavy testers that you wear at the optometrist to find out your prescription.

As someone who prefers glasses to contact lens I don't have an issue with this style, per se. I almost got Amazon's Echo frames except for three major issues with it:
1. The arms were bulky. It needs to spread the thickness across the whole glasses while still remaining balanced.
2. Battery life. The Echo glasses allowed either: 40 Alexa interactions, 45 minutes of audio playback, 20 minutes of phone calls, and 90 incoming notifications over a 14-hour period OR 3 hours of continuous audio playback at 60% volume.
3. Absolutely no product support.

Now, as far as these renders go, I recently looked for some glasses that were this style but couldn't find any that I liked. Right now I am into 'natural wood' and I wanted some premium wood frames.

Comments section ultra sad as usual. These people can only celebrate a new product when it comes from their favourite corporation lmao. How you fellas doing with that innovative AirPods max case
Do you think they look good or are you just upset that people say a product from Samsung looks bad?

Until I see a shipping product from either (or any other) company, I do not really bother to comment on the design, but Samsung have a history of leaking their own products to get it out there.

I can think of lots of interesting use cases for AR/XR glasses, but they need to be light enough and good enough to make them interesting. Will either Apple or Samsung hit that point with a first release? Who knows.

Counter-factuals are hard in that it is unlikely that Apple would release a design as ugly as this, however, were this a leak of an Apple design I would say the same thing: “I hope the actual product does not look like that.”

No idea if anyone will hit the right product with their next round of AR/XR glasses, but I look forward to them trying.

The pictures are hilarious, but in all seriousness this technology is going to be hugely disruptive. Once the form factor is taken care of this will revolutionise computing and entertainment as we know it.

Aesthetics aside, this tech looks incredible, and the obvious next step in human/computer interaction.

I understand the derision from a design perspective (the glasses shown are too damn funny looking), but if what they showed works as advertised it has the potential to be significant.

This is not like, say, folding devices. This is killer.

I'm excited that in the next few years this will be viable.

That is true. The white are truly ugly. They also look too thick. Curious how close these are to product, vs. a Knowledge Navigator style video.

Hope that is true.
