Apple never launched a product on a Saturday.
Prosser isn't even trying anymore.
Prosser was the first one to leak that the new iMac would come in colors, insisted there would be an April event, and leaked the (exactly correct) final design for AirTags. Why are you all so weird about insisting on vehemently hating him?

Because it's inefficient. The 12.9 got thicker and heavier with it. The 11" is meant to be a portable device. Question for me is: why not give it OLED. It works fine in Samsung Tabs for many years and fine in iPhone Pro (even MAX) for many years. So why not?
I look at it as a way to close my rings even faster. Thank you Apple! 😉

On a more serious note, I currently have a 2017 iPadPro. Overall size drops considerably for me.

I’m buying a Mac Mini this week as my 2015 MacBook Pro is starting to show its age. I would LOVE to get an iPad Pro, but Apple hasn’t quite sold me on them yet. The iPad Air I bought in January is fantastic, especially with the Magic Keyboard. However, M1 in an iPad is very intriguing. I’m going to have to wait and see if Apple will support ”pro” apps (mostly Xcode and Logic) before I decide to buy. I also want others to use them for a while and see what the overall opinion is. IMO, this 12.9 iPad Pro could be the most interesting thing to come out of Apple Silicon.

Because ProMotion, variable refresh rate OLED is just recently arriving.

Seems like a good track record to me. 😊

Only 78.6%? That’s a drop (They used to have a page that showed recent trends up and down)

To be fair, he's also had some that were really really wrong. Didn't he also say there'd be a March event? He has had some leaks that are spot on. But, also that are way off. To me, he's a mixed bag.

shipping on those days does that mean they're sending out or delivering / available in store? the distinction there is kind of important and i do see the article suggests available that day is the indication, but does anyone know for sure?

also, will we know at preorders this friday or is there going to be a TBD attached to purchases?

Yes, absolutely! By no means am I trying to say he's hit every mark and is a perfect leaker. But there are a ton of people on here who try to discredit him completely when he has also had a lot of stuff right - even specific dates and times for some stuff. That March event actually got all the leakers except for Gurman, even Kang who was 97% accurate. My suspicion is that the 3/23 date was planted to weed out internal leakers.

Jon's track record, along with many others, is available on AppleTrack. He's sitting just under 78% right now - pretty good.

I was going to order an iPas Pro 12.9” on 30th. I now know that my current Magic Keyboard for which I payed 400 euros does not work with it ...

Having lots bad thoughts at the moment :(

If I had to make a random guess, probably some action he took specifically in order to gain followers on social media. :) It’s how folks like Prosser work.

I use MacRumors as my ruler. If you’re 10% or better than MacRumors, then you’re in the upper echelon… especially since, due to how they track, you’re only penalized if you say a thing and then it’s not true. If something comes out that you DIDN’T have a rumor on, you’re not wrong :)

Prosser used to be up there. Now, his numbers are at the same level all of us would be just from reading MacRumors (or 9to5mac :) )

This can't come soon enough,

been following the rumors for a while now...

I went from fall 2020 to end of March 2021, to end of April 2021 to end of may 2021 😅

Hopefully the reviews come in early this week and announce only good things

Waiting to see reviews test out the old magic keyboard case on the new iPads. If it’s a no go, I’m holding on to my iPad for another year. Ridiculous that apple is going to make us pay another $350 for a keyboard. Surface pro is not looking so bad right now.
Too bad about the OS on cheaper alternatives though .....
