Apple never launched a product on a Saturday.
Apple launched the original iPad on Saturday, April 3, 2010.

However, I strongly suspect that was due to April 2 being Good Friday, which is a statutory holiday in about a dozen U.S. states, at least some of which were home to Apple Stores even back then.

I still don’t understand why the 11” iPad Pro didn’t get the mini LED. 🤔
This is the reason why I'm thinking twice about getting the 11-inch now. I've always been set to purchase the smaller iPad Pro when the new iteration comes out, but now the mini-LED on the 12.9-inch seems just way too good to pass up.

I'm guessing the reason is either to keep the entry price at $799 for the 11-inch instead of bumping up the price by $100 as they did on the 12.9-inch model or to compel entry-level iPad Pro purchasers to go for the larger and higher-end model and pay a more premium price.

Does any one really need/want a 13inch iPad? Thats larger than the Macbook Air 11 screen. What do you do with such a huge screen in hand with mobile style apps? and why is it so specific to 12.9" and not 13" ?

The ONLY use case I can thinking of is for artists who draw using a pen/stylus. I mean even movie editors or 3D graphic artists are better off with a full computer capabilities with full keyboard and mouse, am I right?

Probably to push people to buy the 12.9" which probably has higher profit margin.

My main question is why Apple need to set 2 launch dates if the latter is just the next day? Let say launching on 21/5 and the other on 28/5 makes more sense than being 21/5 & 22/5

They want to sell more 12.9"s with the new Magic keyboard for better margins maybe.

"Not sure which size you want? Well the big one has a better display."

11" will get the new screen next year.

Prosser is not a leaker anymore, he is just guessing. He used to have some kind of source at Apple, but right now he clearly knows nothing. But he needs to say something to stay relevant.
He still has a great accuracy and was the first to say we would see different Coloured iMacs. No leaker is perfect but he’s close to as Good as most

Oh i hear you. I figured it was to get more people to buy the 12.9” iPad pro. But i guess i was just kinda shocked they did it. To me they are both pro devices that deserve equal specs. Some people will like the smaller size. Others the larger size. It may help drive more sales to the 12.9” pro...but i also think it may drive sales away from the 11” pro. because the 11” pro will get hit from both ends now. People who want the better screen will get the 12.9” and others will just get the 10.9” iPad Air for even less. I will wait until the 11” pro gets the mini LED before i update my older 11” pro.
