Beautiful. I bought a NON MagSafe in Late April, really wish I knew these were coming out. I almost pulled the trigger last week...and probably should have. They were $59.99 last week.

Just got a "15% Off Email from them" Whew...that price escalated quickly!
(As the saying goes, you snooze, you lose)

Code "BRAZI" got me a $10 discount. Odd that the max version costs so much more, with that code I got the 12 version for $59.

All 4 versions. 12, 12 Pro, Pro Max and Mini show the same "Sale $84.15 (reg: $99.00)" price now.
The classic NON MagSafe cases also went up to $80.75 (sale price), Regular $95. Wow!

*These are still $64.95 on Amazon though.

I was just about to switch to my red leather case for my se2. I’ve only used it for about 2 weeks total.

I dunno if this is the right thread but I cannot believe this!

the left is my gf's Baltic Blue the right is mine both iPhone 12 / pro size.

Hers is grainy, seems like they much improved the quality from when I got mine the day they came out last year that just feels like a layer of paint over top of the leather and no grain.

My black leather case looks and feels like her baltic blue, and thought this grain was exclusive to the black but apparently not, so hopefully they improved it in general to the point where the saddle brown case is good too and patina's well rather just looking like paint scratched off cause I know people were disappointed in that and the way it wore.

its not even the same looking hue of color

Yeah, I feel the same way. I got my black leather case last November when I bought the 12 Pro Max. And that leather just felt very plasticy. After that I got the Baltic blue this April and it felt more like leather now.

PM me if interested. I’m thinking $50 takes them all and you can start your own rotation plan.

Some time ago I promised update, and well, after 8 months it doesn't look that bad, I have to say...

I had to survive through the moment it looked "dirty", it was couple of weeks, and then the leather started to darken and age well. In general, I have to say, it was not a quick process, but now I am happy with the results. The only product I did use was the saddle soap, to keep it clean.

That definitely looks amazing. Looks like the "layer of paint" talk about these cases was complete impatient BS.

Hard to say tbh, the aging took way longer than I remember from my iPhone X, the touch of the leather is different, and the patina was appearing in a strange manner. It could be because of the shape of the series 12, but I do not think it was completely natural for leather. If it's just the paint that is completely worn off, or a deep treatment/protective coating of leather, I cannot say.

The fact is that my Magsafe Wallet, which is not used as often as the case on the phone darkened a bit, but didn't develop any proper patina yet. But I also don't really use leather soap or anything else on it.

One way or another, I am finally happy with the effect and I am looking forward for further aging.

Probably I will share another update in few months to share if it still looks good.

Newbie here. Just got a Mini and order the Apple SB case. What is the most beginner friendly way to remove coating from the case? I see alcohol, Obenauf’s Cleanit, magic eraser, sandpaper, etc. and I'm a little afraid I would be ruining a $50 case with sandpaper vs alcohol wipes. I don't need it to show patina immediately, but I'm sure my hand oil/sweat will not penetrate through a layer of protecting coating until it's worn off. Thanks all!

Alcohol wipes should do the trick, but be warned. It’s going to look pretty bad at first and may take a few months for it to even out. I friend of mine used Meguiar’s leather cleaning wipes and it looked really good.
