I think the Bullstrap Elite case is pretty neat. The leather is definitely nice and the leather part is very thick on the back. I’m guessing since its full grain leather is why its thick on that part. Edges are a little sharp but then again not really. Not sure how to explain that and they tried to make it softer with the tpu edges, so not bad. The lip on the front is almost flush but does sit up some and I have a glass screen protector on it. The MagSafe seems mostly the same as all the other brands. I use the apple MagSafe wallet sometimes.

Just over 7 months with the Black Apple Leather case. In natural lighting the case looks okay and I'm generally pleased with how it looks, but under direct lighting or a with a camera flash you can clearly see the where the protective coating has worn away. Definitely glad I went with black instead of going with a brighter colour as I suspect it would have aged much worse

Nomad just released a leather skin… Hasn’t dbrand been doing this for years?

Yeah, but Nomad is using their Horween leather on the skins. I personally haven't used the leather dbrand skins, but I doubt they are using genuine full grain leather.

I always wondered what would happen with leather that thin on sharp edges. Rounded edges, I don't think it wears that quickly. Sena's cases last year were super thin and I figured they'd end up the same way.

For my 12 Pro Max - only using the thicker leather cases. Sure, adds a lot of bulk but at least they stand up to usage. :/

These are the 3 cases I've settled on now. I've had the one on the left the longest (not made anymore) - and the one in the middle is super heavy duty leather. One on the right fits the best and feels the nicest (size wise and not making the phone heavier).

Sometimes I slap on a Pitaka case when I want to feel the phone as thin as possible.

One on the left has gotten so soft - softer than any leather case I've ever used. Middle one feels rugged and a bit firm - I imagine if I used it more it'll turn softer. Then the one on the right (I hardly use it) - but it fits the phone the best, looks the nicest and has solid leather on it.

Out of all the leather cases I've ever used, the one on the left has been the first one to really ever "break in" get super super soft and feel amazing. I use that one the most.

I can’t seem to find that case in the middle? I checked blackbrook’s website. It looks nice. Is it still available anywhere?

Wow, they don't make it anymore! These have been my most favorite leather cases in all my years of owning iPhones and leather cases. How disappointing.

Order email says: Barlow Full Leather Snap On Back Cover Case for Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7") × 1 - Distressed Antique Coffee.

This is probably going to make me keep my 12 Pro Max longer. Wow! How sad! Looks like there may be some on Etsy. Edit: Only for 11 Pro :(

I found an orange one on etsy. Does it have MagSafe on that one in the middle? Thanks!

No MagSafe on mine as far as I know - I mean I look at it and it's got a circular look to it so maybe it does? (I don't use it). :p The email for sale doesn't mention MagSafe.

Good decision..👍
Just got my new BS sienna MagSafe case. Love the leather, great tactile buttons and the fit of case. Great quality. I put some Apple Leather Care on it and already it’s looking a bit darker and just right. 😊

However, the only drawback is that the magnet doesn’t seem as strong as the one on my Apple Silicone case. I doubt I’ll use it to connect to my car holder/charger.

One quick question for those with Bullstrap cases - is it normal that the volume buttons are loose in the leather and kind of float?

Update: I tried my BS case and 12 pro on my MagSafe car holder/charger and it held tight over our bumpy roads. So my above comment is moot.

Yes!! I have the same opinion of the MagSafe is the only drawback, and yes the buttons are the same on mine I think they are like that. I hope you enjoy your BS, you will notice natural darkening processes the first week.

Here is my experiment on my three of iPhone 12 Pro Max - Apple Leather Case - Saddle Brown :

- Left case : daily use, 43 days, leather oil treatment once a week, nice patina
- Middle case : never use, 18 days, leather oil treatment everyday, pretty nice patina
- Right case : never use, 18 days, just like day 1, brand new

- Disclaimer : Below was my case, experimented by removing the coating by alcohol and bit of sandpapper, looks ugly

Conclusion : You will get a rich nice patina of the iPhone 12 series Apple Leather case, by daily usage, time, and a proper leather oil treatment. Force it by removing the coating with any kind of treatment such as using sandpapper and alcohol wipes would only damage the case and makes it look ugly
