Daily usage and time, is the key of perfect Patina to me..

My experiment with 2 Saddle Brown cases.
I bought 2 brand new cases on 10 August.
The left one is unused but i give leather oil treatment everyday and a sunbath once a week. Looks better than a forced Patina by sandpaper or alcohol.

Bullstrap case owners, how does the bottom edge of the iPhone hold up due to the open bottom of the case? Been considering looking into one but the open bottom has always been a deal breaker for me
The phone itself is fine. The case is amazing. Your pinky is the one that would be suffering. 😅
Which oil? Left one looks great, thats what I want to achieve. I treated mine with Brooks Proofide and gave it several hours sunbathe.

And that’s the truth. I love the Bullstrap case in every way except the bottom. I stopped using it cause it bugged my pinkie.
The bottom edge of my iPhone still looks new, but I’m very careful with my phone.
I haven't noticed any scratches from daily use, however, I've only dropped my phone once, but it was with a Bullstrap case, and it did mark up the finish on the stainless. I think it's more of the finish quality though. The Charcoal and Pacific Blue have been more prone to scratches. I used Bullstrap cases for the entire time I had my Gold XS Max, and didn't get a single scratch on it. That finish was much better IMO.
We will find out via this thread of course, ha. The “Golden Brown” looks yellow tbh, and the detailed description of the leather cases for the iPhone 13 are identical to the iPhone 12.
I honestly don't think they are going to be any different, because the wear looks identical to the iPhone 5s leather when they wear.
The case might fit but the buttons have been repositioned.
It’s gone with the iPhone 13 models. It’s been replaced by a yellow-y “Golden Brown” color.
Photo from Apple Store app. Looks like California Poppy with a bit more brown? Don’t think this will patina like the saddle brown.
Also the camera bump looks different and seems to be rounder and thinner?
