You can look forward to a black case with dark blue buttons after it wears in.
I'm sure, as even the SB was pretty much black after a year. Like I said, "patina" is pretty much just absorbed oil and dirt which cannot be washed off once it's there.

The thing is, Apple leather is the only case I find bearable in terms of bulk and still offering some protection.

Very jealous of that nice even colour. Mine looks great but it's super dark at the edges.

Hey all, was wondering if anyone had an iPhone 7 or 8 leather case for sale. Just got the 8 and was just seeing if anyone upgraded and have a case they would be willing to part with.

Got rid of my electric blue case, got bored of it really quickly.

Managed to pick up a used saddle brown case off eBay, for £12. It’s perfect. Slightly worn, with some darkening around the edges. Exactly what I’d like the case to look like if I bought it new rather than the more tan colour.

Picked up the Midnight Blue for my XS and I have to say it's a much lighter blue than I remember my X MB being. This, of course, could be because I was accustomed to how dark it had become over the course of the year but I'm sure I remember the color being closer to that of the buttons when it was new.

This looks closer to the Cosmos Blue I had for a brief time.

I have just ordered a saddle brown leather case for my 8plus on the basis of this very thread. Currently got/not got a MediaDevil Folio case in blue with cream lining and stitching and fancied a change.

My 7 month old saddle brown case has aged beautifully but it feels disgusting in my hand now. The corners and the area near the Apple logo feel sticky and it irritates me. What’s can I do to get rid of this issue?

So I’ve had my saddle brown iPhone case for the XS max since launch, on and off, and hasn’t worn much, cause I’ve been flip-flopping between cases for the last month or so. I tried to remove the wax layer to patina a little quicker, since my iPhone X’s case looked so good by the time I upgraded, but now it looks scratched up! Thank goodness for gift cards, I have a brand new saddle brown on the way, and just going to let it age naturally!

It’s amazing how great these phone case protect. I’ve had several drops on concrete, only with a few scuffs on the case, but the phone is perfectly intact!

Glad it helped you. Yeah, the wax coating Apple applies makes it so slippery right out of the box that it feels like it’s going to slip right out of your hand. A few seconds scrub all around with the magic eraser right out of the box and it feels perfect and much more grippy. From there I just let it age naturally.
Are you guys wetting the magic eraser, or scrubbing lightly with it dry?
