Anyone have the Mujjo case for the XR? I've had it for about a month, and it shows virtually NO wear or oil absorbed. Was hoping to have it naturally patina, like the Apple saddle brown I had for my old iPhone 6, but it's looking like I may need to take some sandpaper and oil to it to help it along... Would be interested to hear anyone's thoughts...

Well I shouldn’t have opened this thread because now I want to trade my XR to my daughter for her XS she can’t use (OLED bothers her), just so I can get a leather case, even though I’ve had Loopy cases for my last 3 phones and I can’t imagine not having the loop.

Only problem is, I had trouble with OLED also (which is why I returned my Max), so I can’t really do that.

But gosh I love the worn leather!

The patina is growing on me, but man, so many cases make me think, hey cut those nails!! The nail marks drove me nuts lol!!

3 months in, and my case hasn’t changed much. Forest green seems to hold up pretty well. I also picked up a matching leather loop watch band.

Forrest green is my fav still. I killed mine and went with SB but will most likely get FG again, so nice!!

Impressive. I can't keep a phone more than a year so my chances of getting to that point are nil.

Looks good though!

I’ve had mine for about 6 months now, that’s the product red leather case, I really like how it has been aging
That looks really nice! How long did it take for it to start building some patina. I just purchased a Product Red for my iPhone XS Max

Product Red leather case for my iPhone XS Max. Purchased in the first week of November...so about two months.
I’m a huge fan of the Product Red patinas now. Is this just from normal use?

10 days...

What did you do to get that much patina in only 10 days?

i’ve used a little bit of leather oil on it a few times a week since i got it.

What kind of leather oil?

I’ve done it a few times. I scratched it up yesterday. Now I have random spots that are darker than others which I hate. Coworker of mine told me the scratching idea and his case is perfectly even. Heres mine... After a few days you can’t see the scratch marks at all. I see some of your pictures and wish my phone was more even.

It has an almost wood finish look.

I’ve used leather conditioner in the past to clean it up - doesn’t really help patina.

As others have said, just use it and let it do it’s own thing. Using sand paper, oils etc isn’t patina. It’s staining.

I wouldn’t use anything. It can ruin the case, make it sticky.
Yeah patience is key I guess, I just really wish Apple would offer a darker red option almost like a burgundy, but oh I guess I’ll just use it over time and watching it change over time

Two months of daily usage without taking care where to put the phone. I like it but I hope it does not get too worn in a few months
I like it! I've been tempted to get SB because I think it looks spectacular with the silver XS but something in the back of my mind wouldn't let me and I went for my usual safe Midnight Blue.

Edit: Oooh! Post #1000!
