So what’s the best way to keep apple original orange leather looks good ?
Im sure i dont want it to patina so much as its an orange and look better when its clean IMHO.
On my previous midnight and saddle brown iphone leather i like them to be darker patina
But this orange one ?

The natural patina come with daily use. So to keep the case as new, the only advice is to keep your case in a drawer and use something else. 😁 if you use it, the edges will darken pretty quickly.

Ok I found it. To be fair it’s been buried at the bottom of a junk drawer for the better part of a year so it’s not as pristine as it once was. I used it for about a year, the leather still feels nice in hand and still smells good. I might have to order another one for my current phone as this has made me miss it.

The lighting in my office is pretty harsh so I snapped pics with two different backgrounds. The sun hasn’t come up yet so no daylight photos.

Not too keen on the camera bump on the 14 Pro versions, looking at pics.

Went to my local shopping mall, grabbed a midnight leather and sent my blue Mujjo back while I was there.

It’s true what some have said in here, the midnight leather is a lot softer to the touch and less artificial feeling compared to the Ink case I had.

So I received my second Ryan London case in Saddle Brown. Still a small imprint on the left down backside. But lots less then the first one. This is acceptable for me. Seems like they have a small issue with quality control. But already payed twice the import duty costs so I will use this one. Probably it will wore out when using the case. As it seems with the first case.

I do like the more leather stripes on the newer case though.

The nomad is already showing is scars as it is used as my working case in a medium heavy environment.

The Forrest green Apple case has its Apple patina in the corners already.

My 2 cents. Nomad for rugged work although the fitment could be better. Apple case rubbish, will not buy another one. Ryan London needs to get better quality control. For the price having a imprint on the case (twice). Should not happen. Especially after having contact with themself; saying they would solve it by sending another case. That should be the perfect case. Not twice the same error…

Still I believe in Ryan London.

Now waiting for that dune Bullstrap. Then the comparison can continu.

Is the dune case just a natural veg tanned leather? I love the patina on natural veg tan....

It seems the thread is correct.

The corner of my storm blue, Mujjo, no less than 6 days of use, from new. Going very much the way of the Baltic Blue from last year.

It’s going back. Fed up of trying to find a decent blue leather. Think I’m just gonna grab a midnight Apple or black Mujjo and be done with it.

I feel your pain, I grabbed the apple leather on launch day out of convenience and it was my favorite color... I dont love the tackiness (although an alcohol wipe got rid of that finally) but it has the best hand feel to me.. just wish it had a better patina... I dont care if it darkens too much just a somewhat even patina would be nice. Maybe ill give the andar navy a shot once in back in stock or just settle for a midnight or ink case. Even started looking into non leather options such as dbrand or phone rebel.

I really tired to keep the orange bright but the constant wipe downs with water and a microfiber just lead to the sides aging more rapidly than without the maintenance. Even if you manage to keep the orange leather bright it still collects dirt in the embossed apple logo and in the corners on the case leading those areas to be darker.. If you want a pristine look, the orange leather is more trouble than its worth.

Not sure if there are any IP11 owners here but Nomad has their 11 series cases on for $19.95usd. https://nomadgoods.com/collections/legacy-cases I was pretty tempted but the shipping to Canada ads another $25 to the price... plus the duty that Canada customs would charge pretty much killed the deal for me. But if you're in the US its a good deal for sure!

Did anyone get the nomad leather case for their 14 series phone? I recently purchased one (still hasn’t come yet) but haven’t seen too much about it.

How do you like it?
Feel?
Good fit?

I have the Nomad in dark brown, and I really like it. Leather is high quality (though scratches more easily than other leather cases...but they semi-heal and become part of the patina, rather than looking cruddy). Fit on mine is great. I'm so glad they finally fixed the buttons...I've had two previous nomad cases and the buttons were awful on them. This year they're fantastic. Easy to press, with excellent tactile feedback. I also have the Andar in Camel Tan, which is also excellent. I like both cases a lot.

If you can stomach the cost, Bullstrap's Ocean color is gorgeous and should hold up well. I had one for my 12 Pro and it was awesome.
