You have zero clue what you are talking about. Go do a little research about the leather used in the Apple cases. It’s not fake.
It’s not fake but it’s not great quality either. And it’s painted. It’s not a protective coating. They don’t even patina. I’m not bashing apple leather because I use them from time to time. I love the fit and form factor of apple leather.
This video would say differ about the paint.
I am not saying I love the way it wears, but it’s not paint.
I’m not going to take advice for someone that says his apple leather case after the 11 series has a beautiful patina. They don’t patina like they used to. It looks like hot garbage. If you want a really nice patina go with bullstrap or andar.
Clearly you don’t watch the whole video. He created the patina by removing the protective coating and using a process of aging it quickly. He clearly states that he doesn’t like the Apple leather case since the iPhone 12.
Apple leather has the best fit hands down out of any leather case. Andar was my favorite leather quality case, but they must fix their cheap a** plastic “zinc” coated camera ring before I buy another one of their cases. The black zinc coating they claim they take pride in wears in no time!
I don’t think anyone is arguing the fitment it’s all the other aspects. I threw mine on for all but 5 minutes yesterday after all the back and forth in here and took it right back off. The buttons and feel of the leather in hand are just bad. It’s not a bad case overall by any stretch, but it’s no where near the others in terms of quality. It should cost about half of what it does. I agree on the Andar camera ring as that is the cases biggest downside. Maybe they will fix it for the 15 series.
I must say, I have zero issues with the apple leather buttons I actually love them. That metallic look of them that match the case color is just so aesthetically pleasing. The first month I had the case it was very slippery, not grippy and felt cheap. Now after that time the case has a whole new feel to it. It’s tacky, grippy and for me it all around feels amazing. I haven’t had the wearing on the edges yet happen but I’m aware that will start to happen next.
Same with me. I love the buttons and it’s one of the big reasons I came back to it.
I’m personally not a big fan of how the leather wraps around the camera bump for BS and RL. I like Andar and Apple more for that reason but I’m not a fan of how the camera ring for the Andar chips so Apple wins for me. Just my opinion though!
Right there with you on all your preferences. Don’t like BS bc the camera bump is too thick, also the open bottom is a big deterrent for me. Wish Andar can fix the ring.
I also don’t like it being black. The matching ring on the Apple cases is much better.
I am also not sold on their leather. My wife has the Diner wallet from them because of one of the IG influencers she follows
, and she got one for her sister in law, and the strap ripped in 2 shortly after she got it. Doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in Andar’s leather.

I have 3 Denner wallets
It’s what made me get the phone case from them. I have a couple of their products and haven’t had any issues with the straps yet.
The phone case I loved but it was very soft leather, so I was always afraid to drop it bc it will for sure rip. Once I saw my husbands camera ring wearing I immediately sent both of our cases back.

I think the leather is fine, but nothing some people here claim it is. I think all these cases are pretty equal. Not too much to separate them. Good enough and protected enough to be a phone case. We wouldn’t want the really good leather. Like I said before, leather like Hermes on a phone case would feel amazing, but people would go nuts with the wear. Couldn’t ever get water on it at all.
My biggest point, is that Apple leather cases aren’t as bad as people here say. Are they amazing leather, not a chance, but they are nice and soft, and fit the phone amazingly. Something to be said about that.

she’s quite annoying I must admit but has built herself quite an empire. Crazy how the new crew of successful money makers are “influencers.” Yup apple leather fit is amazing, same with their silicone case. Definitely something to be said. I got mine for a crazy price on clearance a while back, I think on Woot.com. I would never pay $50 though unless it was a color I had to have immediately lol

So just received my Bullstrap Dune case for 14 pro;
First impressions: love it, took me back to the Apple case saddle brown iPhone X days. Thick leather, fits perfectly on the phone, feels good in hands, smells really good too.
The only issue I’ve noticed is the MagSafe, compared to the Apple leather case is significantly weak.
Has anyone else noticed this or does my case have a problem?

It’s definitely weaker. But don’t worry, it still holds great on my MagSafe charger in my car. Even when I’m traveling through bumpy roads. Bullstrap is definitely high quality. Congrats on your purchase 🔥
