Man for more money BS isn’t worth it anymore imo. Only appeal to me is the color options now but Wilken, ryan london etc are the same cases. I got the email today that ryan london is preparing for shipping today so i’ll have it soon enough.

Wonder when the YMW shop is gonna update for the 15PMs.
I must be in the minority but I hated my Ryan London cases. I know its the same design as others, but it came up short for me vs expectation.

Flat sidewalk you say? So it's not possible there was any bit of debris on this sidewalk your phone could've came into contact with? Ultimately, your cameras are exposed in any case you slap on. Also, the chances of scratching them are greater since the cameras are so huge now. This seems like bad luck to me, wouldn't necessarily put Bullstrap at fault here.
I'll go back to the scene of the crime, but I'm highly confident that the sidewalk was flat.

I'll update/edit, if memory serves me wrong.

Idk I think I held it to a lower standard than BS but I also messed with mine a bit to get it grippy. Not sure if it helped or not but I did some mink seed oil every now and then.

First photo, comparing internals of cases
second is wilken new against ryan london
third is new ryan london vs bs and last is ryan london after a month or three i believe.

They all look extremely similar. Feeling though I cannot comment on. Ryan london is less than half the price though, shipping in taxes included.

I'm a real sucker for red-ish tones in middle brown leather though, I could never go for the shade that BS has. The leather RL has looks so much more alive.

Yea their saddle brown is nice. That was one of the cases I had previously and looks great color wise over time. Leather quality was subpar in my opinion. To each their own though, that's why we have options. I refuse to buy another case from them even if it was half the price.

Right here is a common misconception. When people say quality they actually mean finishing, as in how heavily has the surface been treated with a plastic protective layer. Unfinished full grain can easily feel worse than the apple leather cases of old which everyone praises, me included, but those were HEAVILY finished.

Another reason can be that Ryan London uses vegetable tanned leather, which is the original tanning method. Bullstrap and many other use chrome tanned leather because it is faster and cheaper. The leather itself will feel very different.

People who are not aware of all these small differences will easily comment on quality but in fact they're just misinformed.

Actual quality wise Ryan London leather beats Bullstrap just because Bullstrap is chrome tanned, pure and simple. Not to be confused with the FEEL of the leather though.

I fell in love with the red-ish tones too. Wilken is a chocolate brown but i like having the two options now.

Those reddish tones are what made me fall in love with the original Apple Saddle Brown from the 7/8/X series. To this day the case I had on my 7 was the most beautiful patina I've ever had. Every time I buy a new case I hope it too can one day be that beautiful.

Same.

Yeah—flat sidewalk, here is the spot I stood when my phone dropped in the Bullstrap leather case. I was working on nice photos of our Liberty Place buildings (in the background of the one phony I attached).

Ok I got a scale today so here are the weights of all my leather cases

Apple 13pro - 27g
Alto 15pro - 31g
Lonli edition 15pro - 33.5g
Keyway 15pro - 34g

I don’t have my andar aspen anymore but it seems like it was the heaviest. Maybe just because of how thick it was. Still wish I could find a nice leather case around 25g. It really doesn’t need to protect the phone that well. Still looking forward to my leather skin from dbrand. I think that might be the perfect solution for me if the MagSafe is still strong.

I preordered a bullstrap black for my 15 pro max.

After all this talk about warrantee replacements i i made a claim for my 12 pro and they rejected it because i bought it from amazon. Seems like a weak excuse but it is my work phone now so not too concerned.

Does that affect how the case ages in feel? Will the chrome tan still get grippy and kind of smooth out with use?

Similar experience. I purchased on Amazon from Bullstrap. It shipped from their Florida location. When it arrived it included all the paperwork to register for the lifetime warranty which I did. When it came time to make a warranty claim they denied me. Said I had to submit photos and a written explanation of what happened and why I felt it should be replaced. Didn’t feel it was right to have to write an essay just to make a claim. Won’t buy from them again.

Finally heard back from bluebonnet cases and they are going with a cutout for the action button so they are off the list. That sucks cause they have a great looking case.

Thier response:
“Thanks for reaching out and so sorry for the delayed response. The MagSafe case will have a cutout but the folio is a covered button. Hope that answers your question. The iPhone 15 series cases are scheduled to ship out in early November. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.”

Wasn’t there one of these posted yesterday that showed it’s a cutout?
