Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

I couldn’t be happier with my Luckycoin case. I’ve used bullstrap in the past and in my opinion this is just as good, all for less than $30. It’s not like these cases are heirlooms or need to last years and years. Most people on here probably have multiple cases for their phones anyway. Oh and nothing is misaligned or cracked or whatever other quality control issues they’re having over there at bullstrap with the closed bottom cases.

Interesting, might have to consider them in the future.

Novada Nappa leather open bottom case arrived today, buttons are good, nice leather smell, soft lining, no gaps, nice tight fit around the phone and the best bit is the leather is treated to repel water and oils. Bought from Amazon UK for £25 which I think in comparison to some, it’s a bargain!

I got one and it does have the gap, so disappointing :( I should’ve just got a lucky coin case from Amazon.
 
Got my 15PM YMW crazy horse cowhide scars. It’s pretty sweet and fits very well. It says it’s the top outer layer of the cowhide which shows all the imperfections. I did a quick google search and they seem to call that “nappa” leather. I’m not sure but its pretty soft

Who makes the best leather case for 15PM? That almost soft fluffy leather that is rather “grippy” almost? Looked at Satchel, Andar, Lucky Coin? Who else maybe should I consider?
 
Giving up on leather for now. I just cant find anything that ages like the old Apple ones from the 7,8,X series. There are lots of great cases out there that look amazing when new but just don't age like those old Apple saddle brown ones did. The Apple ones developed a rich deep patina and sheen that I crave. My current Nomad English Tan looks awful after 4 months. Its not developing a beautiful patina. It just looks dull and dirty and the surface has gotten rougher instead of smoother. I've been through Bullstrap, Keyway, Decoded, Mujjo, Nomad, and a few others over the past 4 years and just can't find anything like that old Apple leather. Spent far too much money on these things too. So I'm stepping away from leather for a while and going back to trusty old ESR with the stash stand. Maybe one of these days we will see somthing like that old leather I miss so much... then I'll be back.

Try the cactus ‘leather’ from otterbox. It won’t patina but a good compromise.
