Just found a pic of my old iPhone X apple leather case. Which case will get me closest to this patina? Man I absolutely love how it aged.
My opinion is the Luckycoin will get you the closest. But the LC is a slow burn so don’t expect it to look like that after a month. It takes time just like Apple did back then.

No bourbon for the contemporary case. Nuts. So much for converting my husband.
And cc button version is obviously next year but he said it won’t be early next year or anything. I’d imagine April or may if I were to guess.
And anyone who bought the first version with the cutout will prob just have to pay the difference for the other version.

Ooooof gorgeous. The good old days. I’d second the lucky coin getting closest to that. The LC has a subtle reddish rich hue to it. From what everyone says the have a slower patina also.
Any tips on finding that post on IG that you mention. I’d like to screenshot it or bookmark it for the future.
Yes! I mean in just over 2 weeks, it’s a darker brown. And the heavy patina spot from my fingers are fun to watch grow. Makes the case so unique to every person.

So why do you guys think the LC is so much slower? Do they treat the leather where RL and BS?
I really miss the slower patina. I don’t like it so quick. It’s not a process anymore.
I like that camera layout as well, love how the regular 16 and plus cameras are this year because of that. I'm not sure how everyone else feels but I am really hoping either Apple finally changes the camera layout on the next iPhone.

But do you think they treat LC like Apple did starting with the iPhone X cases? The early days like the 6 and 6s and 7 were all pretty quick patinas. The X started being a bit more treated and slower.
You know they just may. Their hue of brown is much different than the others. Put my brown Luckycoin on the other day. I loooove this case. It’s either this one or then RL when it arrives which was “lost” in Germany thanks ups! As of last night. Looks like it’s possibly back on track. Ugghhhh
Mine LC and RL were very close in color out of the box, but so many people say the LC is slow patina. The only thing I can think is they treat it with something. The RL and BS aren’t treated at all that I can tell, and the patina process starts almost immediately. I haven’t put my LC on for more than about 5 minutes, so I am not sure if it will be the same as others or not. Maybe I just have oily hands.
Third day of actual use with the Sienna and it fell out of my pocket while cycling. Not the kind of patina I was hoping for 😬. Thankful for Bullstrap’s warranty for times like this.
The case did its job and the phone is unharmed.

How do you compare the BS to the LC?
The BS doesn't feel as dry, but it's still pretty dry haha. The LC has less of a lip around the screen of the phone, which I really like. I'm also a sucker for the more reddish tone it has vs the Sienna. In my very unexpert opinion, they're pretty dang similar in most regards, except for price lol.
Speaking of, I had enough points from past purchases to have $40 off my next Bullstrap order. I combined that with their 20% off sale to snag a Contemporary case in Ocean for $35. Yes, I have a problem lol.
Thanks 😊 for your reply I am going to eyeing the lucky coin for my next iPhone 16 Pro in desert titanium or blue/natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro. Y’all they have two brown colors; saddle or dark brown? I usually have a preference for smoother leather textures like my Apple Watch bands.
I almost always go for Saddle Brown.
