I love the leather grain on the Forest Green case! Maybe I need to buy that one for my phone. The leather grain is definitely not the same on mine, unfortunately. I opted for the Saddle Brown and here's a pic of my case after about 5 weeks of use. It just looks ok - hoping it will get a better patina in a few more weeks.

No wonder! I did drop it the other day on a dirty puddle in the middle of the street. Jk

Yeah they all vary some have more grain than others. Nice Type R btw!

Hey, can one of y’all brown-case-green-phone folk post some updates? I’m lusting after that patina but scared the Yoda vibe will be too strong!

After finding this thread I couldn't resist to join the patina proud club. Applied two layers of leather balm as soon as I unboxed it and now I'm just waiting for natural patina to happen.

Really love the combo of the saddle brown leather and midnight green 11 Pro. Goes remarkably well with my Seiko Astron on a leather NATO.

Thanks! It's made by a small local company and sold at various events and fairs in Finland. They use all natural oils and waxes, mainly beeswax, rapeseed oil, cinnamon leaf oil and coconut fat.

Don't know where you live but I'm sure there's something similar to be had at your local shoemaker.

My local shoemaker probably doesn’t speak English 🙈🙉🙊 😂

Can you tell me if these are genuine or not just from these photos? The black one seems legit but the forest green has different texture. I want that green so bad and found these two on local second hand website.

Some of the fake cases say genuine material on the inside of the felt rather that genuine leather like oem Apple cases say. That and the buttons are really the only give away a if it’s a good replica.

Alright, I didn't want to miss the deal and got the cases already. Gonna upload a few more photos soon.

Forest Green along with Product Red are the ones with the most texture

Alright, here are my current cases. Cape cod blue is about 9 months old. The other two are quite new.

The saddle brown is very popular.

Yes. It's the closest to natural looking leather and, IMO of course, ages the best. Although the Forest Green looks nice this year.

Personally I think reds and yellows don't patina that well - just end up looking a bit dirty.

It's pathetic I know, but when I was torn between getting an 11 or a Pro Max, the non-availability of the Saddle Brown leather was a factor. Not the main one of course (OLED).

I have the green and it’s been months. Still looks brand new can’t get it to patina we’ll at all. My red one is doing well some darker spots but not dirty by any means. The midnight blue though is killer with some patina

I’m sure it still looks good though. Perhaps the green is less susceptible to ageing. I see some people are anxious to speed up the process but it’s the gradual change that I like. Kinda therapeutic. When my case gets too battered I’ll buy another one and start again. I’ll try and post a photo later - it’s quite dark brown already after only 2 months. Has lost all the caramel colour.
