Hi all! How do you guys clean your leather case? Do you clean it at all?
I’m the type who wash my (silicone)cover almost everyday in soap and warm water -.- And pretty sure that would be a bad idea, when i choose my new leather cover :-/
Yeah I know.. destroyed my Apple leather cover with water and soapYou cannot use water on leather, it will be ruined instantly.
You can use a good quality leather cleaner and a conditioner to apply, but certainly don’t do it too often and if you think you will want to do it often, then a leather case might not be for you.
I miss their leather cases so much. Nothing compares to the look, fit, and feel of those cases, imo.Despite being a huge fan of being caseless, I still can’t why Apple discontinued Leather Case: with all the defects that they have since 12 series, they are awesome in hand when you want a case.
As are most leather casesWere no good in the humidity, a sticky mess.
that looks good. can you post the link?Okay. I had a case from aliexpress. It's definitely not real leather, but it's really beautifully finished, with magsafe, camera control buttons and metal buttons. I don't know what to ask for more than $10.
RL and Nomad don't have the option to ship to me. So I tried that.
Anyone have a quick run down on the differences between Andar and Ryan London cases with CC button?48 hr flash sale going on right now at Andar! 30% off with the code ASPEN30
I had a Ryan London case from the first batch and while the leather quality was better i was disappointed with the fit. There were gaps and the corners were not even around the edges. I’ve been very happy with my Andar case.Anyone have a quick run down on the differences between Andar and Ryan London cases with CC button?
Can you share some pics of the Andar and LC? Lets see that patina! As an update on my cases: I have a Bullstrap in Terra, an Andar in Navy, and two Luckycoins: black and dark brown. The Bullstrap has fared the worst, unfortunately. Despite being quite careful, somehow I have managed to get major water damage to the Bullstrap - got a replacement under their cosmetic replacement program, and then that one has suffered additional water damage. The first time was my fault - I put it in a compartment in my car that I didn't realize had a small amount of water sitting in it from a minor spill. The second time? I have no idea where it picked it up.
None of my other cases even have a dot of water damage, but the bullstraps seem to show it if you get a speck of water on it even for a very short time. Both the Andar and Luckycoin cases are aging beautifully, and feel fantastic. This is my third Andar case (one for each of three phones over the years) and all have held up beautifully. I think the leather conditioning they do just makes it more durable than what Bullstrap does. What I'm most surprised about is how well the LC cases also seem to hold up so well. Bullstrap having a replacement program does make the cost somewhat bearable, but honestly, this will likely be my last Bullstrap case.
I have a closed bottom Ryan London with CC button, i have a lot of the same issues you pointed out. A couple of the corners don’t sit flush, and the leather strip above the charging port is arched. Love the quality of the leather but the fit leaves something to be desiredI had a Ryan London case from the first batch and while the leather quality was better i was disappointed with the fit. There were gaps and the corners were not even around the edges. I’ve been very happy with my Andar case.

Haven’t had one but consensus seems to be LuckyCoin is the best for the price.I've been out of the loop on this thread for the past 2 years. Is Andar still the best leather case, or are there equivalent alternatives that have popped up?
I agree. I’ve had all the big brands except for Ryan London and Luckycoin is my fav.Haven’t had one but consensus seems to be LuckyCoin is the best for the price.
