They’re $100 now?? That’s actually insane. If I was looking for a new case and wanted leather, I’d one million times choose Andar over it. I’ve also never been a fan of the bull logo- I feel like it ruins the case haha.

To be fair, Andar aren’t that much cheaper these days…

The last couple of times I’ve been on the Bullstrap site they’ve also been running a 15-20% promo discount so I think they’re doing the same thing.

From what I’ve seen, I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I noticed they have long promo periods (like for valentine’s right now) but it’s not year round. Andar has content creator codes that can be found on this forum or on google that are always active.

It's because they give you 2 free replacement cases a year for life (or more realistically as long as you own your phone). Point is if you own you phone for 3 years you could get 7 of the same cases out of that $100.

Andar does replacements as well now but not to that extent.

That is insane that they 2 a year for life but I guess for people like me who upgrade yearly, it’s not at all worth it haha.

Unlikely... to be honest the customer service I received from them was extremely poor. They don't just hand out replacements like candy. They make you jump through a lot of hoops to try and claim a replacement. Numerous back and forth emails that go nowhere followed by an email stating they require high res photos and video of the case and a detailed explanation of what damage had occurred, how the damage occurred, and why I thought it should qualify for the "free" replacement program. Honestly I felt like I was submitting an essay for grading to a professor. In the end I gave up on Bullstrap and their BS warranty and just vowed to never support them again. The likelihood that someone would be able to claim 7 replacements is laughable at best.

My experience was nothing like this. The bottom of my first case was too tight causing the speaker/mic holes to be forward justified and it took one short email and a video to get a replacement. No back and forth required.

I'm glad to hear your experience was much better. Your experience is what it should be. Sadly I've heard from other people who's experience was also like mine so it seems pretty hit or miss.

I got two replacements for the one I had on my 15 Pro too. They made me pay shipping on the second one which I found odd but overall still a pretty painless experience.

Sorry to hear they made it difficult on ya.

Damn that’s definitely not ideal. Wonder if it depends on the support rep. In my case I reached out last week because I had a cooking accident with the family and a bunch of oil and stuff ended up staining my case. Explained what happened, attached a pic to my report, and a couple hours later I got an order placed email waiting for me to go and pay for shipping and that was it. No questions asked.

I've been using a Nomad Traditional case in Horween Rustic Brown since late October. Very happy with the fit and feel (after getting a replacement for a defective loose one) but my only complaint is still the color - its more burgundy brown than the dark brown pictured in the renders. Was hoping by this point it would darken a bit but that hasn't been the case. Almost no change in color.

Any tips on how to safely darken the leather? I'm not looking to force a patina, I'd be happy just to evenly darken the entire case. Googled it but first hand accounts are always helpful. I assume dyes are out because they might transfer to the phone, so some sort of oil?

I was considering just buying the black version instead but I figured I've got nothing to lose trying this first.
Unfortunately, I don't have a concrete answer, but I'm curious as to how this case is developing a patina. Is the Rustic Brown not getting darker as it ages on its own? I'd love to see some pics.

Maybe you could over-condition the case with leather conditioner to darken it up?

Here's day 1 and today in roughly the same lighting. I applied some mink oil a couple days ago but I didn't notice a difference. There's definitely same patina developing but unless you're under direct sunlight like here, you don't really see it.

The case itself fits and feels great though

FWIW, I was hoping the case would look more like the middle case here, based on the website renders.

I’ve dropped the Bullstrap and after a few days of using the TechWoven I’m back in the Decoded full coverage case.

While the Bullstrap has a slimmer form factor, the feel of the leather became tacky and gross. The Ecco leather on the Decoded has a unique soft feel to it and an ever so slight smell of leather. No patina yet but I’m okay with it.

The BS case above is their new Blaze model which is made with a “performance leather.” They say it’s a coating added to their full grain leather. Gross.
