I had mine on my right wrist even though im right handed. Just always felt weird over there on the other. So I turned it upside down. I actually like it that way. Seems easier to use the crown with it lower on the face.

I am extremely left handed and have always worn my watch on the right wrist.

Having the digital crown at the bottom doesn't bother me at all.

I have been wearing the watch since Friday and it is very easy to use. Don't forget to flip the band around. :)

Yep, yep, yep. I, too, am pure lefty. I was actually worried about the whole digital crown thing and which side to have it on prior to getting the Watch on Thursday last week. I had seen one, maybe two, pictures of lefties rocking the crown on the bottom left and didn't think I liked it. But, in the end, once you actually have the Watch, it only takes a couple minutes until you're use to it. IMO it just initially looks weird because you're use to seeing it worn on the left hand with the crown top-right in all the marketing/advertisements. Forcing yourself to wear your Watch on your left hand simply because of this is..... silly. If you ask me.

Oh, and I mainly quoted you, Ecoh, because on this past Sunday I actually got the idea to flip the bands around. And, my mind was blown. I've hardly ever really worn a watch before, but I had never really thought about this concept haha. IT'S SO SIMPLE. YET SO GENIUS.

I'm a lefty and I've been wearing my Apple Watch on my right wrist with the crown in the top-right since launch day. It feels fine to me. I've had zero issues with its placement so far. I initially looked at it with the crown in the lower-left, but I just thought it felt off aesthetically.

Left handed and awaiting delivery of 42mm SS with BSB.

Anything to say from people who wear the watch on their right hand? Does it look strange with the crown at the bottom instead of the top. Are there any differences? Is it exactly the same experience as for right handers?

Just interested...............

Looks and feels great. I have been wearing it since the 24th, and it seems perfect for us right hand challenged people, but you know we are in our right mind

Lefty here as well, and I've always worn my watch on my left hand. But with the AW having to select things, n digital touch drawings....umm ya this is NOT going to work for me lol using my right hand (wearing on left).

So.....ya, it's gonna be weird for me to wear on my right hand....haven't decided for sure, whether or not I'm going to use with digital crown at bottom left or right side of watch. I prefer the look of the digital crown on the right side of the watch.
But seems like the lower left side would be more convenient. So probably go with that and see how it goes.

My AW is due today, so guess I'll find out soon!

Personally I think it would be better if they'd made it symmetrical so that lefties and righties would have the same experience. Plus, I think it looks more balanced.

That wouldn't work since you need a clear space to hold the watch on the opposite side when pressing a button. Can't tell you how many times I've pressed 2 buttons on the pebble because there are buttons all over the thing. Same with iPhone 6. I wish they had left the power button on top.

true... I have had that issue with my 6+

I still think it looks odd for left handers having the crown at the bottom

It seems to be one of those things where I see other people's photos in this thread and think it looks weird/off, but looking down at my wrist and it looks perfectly natural. For whatever reason. And I really did think I was going to make myself rock the crown top-right and have to reach over the watch awkwardly/covering the screen before I had my Watch in hand.

I would say to the Lefties who still do not have their Watches- don't fret a second over this seemingly problematic problem. Whichever way you end up settling on will feel natural and fluid within a very short time-frame upon the Watch strapping onto your wrist.

Also- as always- don't weigh-in what you perceive others' will think about how it looks on your wrist in the slightest. I know this is impossible to completely factor out, as it's human nature, but it really shouldn't play a part in this decision.

mixed

I'm mixed handed but wear watches on my right arm. Having the crown at the bottom is not an issue and I actually prefer it since I don't find myself using the button too much anyway and having the crown lower is just easier.

But, wherever the crown is, top, bottom it is facing the hand and I find when using things like workout gloves, it gets triggered often. I'd like to be able to disable it sometimes or require a HOLD to enter.

Truth...

I just find it odd that Apple let the design go out with this inconsistency. Not saying one way is right and the other is wrong, but it definitely is not consistent.

I'm a lefty and wear my watch on the left also. I did not switch for the Apple Watch, I will just have to learn to digital touch like the righties do. ;)

I've had my watch for a week, and now that I've got the various watch faces set up, I have almost no reason to turn the crown. I just scroll and such with my finger, since I'm touching the screen anyway. So IMO it's totally doable to wear the watch on the right and leave the crown in the upper right, if that's your preference. You would just press in the crown or the button with your thumb instead of your index finger.

Hmm, knowing me, i'll most likely try it on my left...and see how my poor right hand does "drawing" lil images to send off...EEK LOL!! If that doesn't wk, then most likely switch to wearing on the right hand. Good tip, thx (re: just using thumb instead)...ya, def see how that feels once it arrives!:)

I am a lefty and wear mine on my right wrist. At first it looked weird since all the promos were on the left wrist, but now I am used to it.

That of course means more likely to press either button accidentally with clothing which, I'm guessing is why they didn't.

oh yeah i'd love to accidentally take a screenshot every time i try to press the crown or friend button just like i accidentally change my ringer volume every time i lock my iPhone screen.

My favorite is when I want to take a photo really quickly: Pull my 6 Plus out, swipe up for the camera, line up the shot and BAM!!!!! I've turned my phone back off... Oy gevalt...

I'm another right-hander that wears my watch on my right. I don't have any problems with it and I prefer the digital crown on the left.

Guess I definitely am in the minority I wear it with the crown facing in, and I rarely ever use the crown (only when scrolling through friends). I personally think it looks way better like this than on the bottom. Lefty, wearing it on right wrist with buttons closer to my body.

I'm left handed and always wore a watch on my right. With my Apple Watch it feels funny when I try to tap on the screen with my left hand. Maybe because I always carry my phone with my left hand and tap with my right?

Having the digital crown at the bottom doesn't bother me at all. Much better than a mechanical watch with the crown on the wrong side of the watch when it is on your right wrist.

Flip the band around?

I'm a lefty and have tried it several different ways...

i'm kinda stuck because because i don't like it (or any watch) on my left hand because it drags when I write. But I learned to use a computer mouse in my right hand so I don't like it very much there either. For most of my life I've worn it on my right arm.

With the apple watch I preferred the look on my right hand with the crown towards my hand and on the bottom. It felt more natural to use it with the crown towards my elbow with the crown on the top though. I think it looked ok, pretty much like a normal watch with the crown facing the "wrong" direction like a left would normally wear.

Sadly, my right shoulder bothers me a lot and lately with all the looking at the watch I've been doing it hurts more so I had to switch it to my left arm anyway.
Nice thing is the sport band pin is off to the side so it doesn't drag when I write.

So... bottom line, I think it looks ok either way. Go with what feels most comfortable to you.

flipping the band around....

put the short piece with the pin on the other side. It doesn't change where the crown is but it can make it easier to fasten. Depends on whether you like to pull down or up to tighten.

Being left handed I for some reason wore my watch on my left hand. This carried over when I received my :apple: Watch. Then I decided to try and wear it on my right, so I changed the orientation and switched wrists. Now I wear it on my right permanently. It took a bit to get used to but at the end of the day I can each the crown and the button more easily and it does feel more natural. Also I have the long side of the band on the top and the shorter side closer to me, it seems easier to fasten.
