I'm left handed and have always wore my watches on my right hand. Even at my try on appointment I asked the apple employee if wearing it on my right hand I could have the crown on bottom left and they didn't even know if that would work.

Had my watch set with buttons facing out, towards my hand. Unfortunately long sleeved shirts/jackets interfered with Siri understanding my requests. Switched the watch so microphone and speaker were facing out and no more issues with Siri.

I wore it on my left hand for the first week and found the battery drained too quickly (because I'm left-handed, the constant movement kept turning the screen on unnecessarily).

Tried it on my right hand with the crown at the bottom left and just felt it looked ridiculous.
Now I'm wearing it on my right hand with the crown at the top right and it actually works fine. To get to the crown I just sort of go up and around the top with my left hand and spin it with my index finger. I don't get in the way of the screen and it doesn't really feel awkward. It also looks much better this way, and the mic/speaker don't get covered up by my shirt sleeve.

Right on right

I'm right handed, but always wear my watches on the right. I like to crown on the left which makes it easy to use with my left index finger. Also moved the short end of the band to the top (outside) so that it fits better.

Works for me.

I'm another right-hander that wears my watch on my right. I don't have any problems with it and I prefer the digital crown on the left.

It looks normal to me since I'm also a lefty. It doesn't bother me a bit that righties have a different button placement.

Crown on the bottom left for me, as well. Looks fine and is very comfortable being low like it is.

Of course symmetrical would be best, but not a big deal.

Personally I think it would be better if they'd made it symmetrical so that lefties and righties would have the same experience. Plus, I think it looks more balanced.

It's better to have both controls pointed towards the wrist (on whatever hand). That way, when you operate them, your finger does not obscure the screen.

I don't find it strange at all to have the digital crown on the bottom. I use it more than I do the side button.

I would think most people would wear the watch on their non-dominant hand, so they can use their writing hand to drawn pictures with digital touch. Also I suppose you don't want the watch band potential smearing you writing if it's worn on your writing hand.

This comment just came up in another thread about cases. Thought you guys might find it interesting here.

Watches are typically worn on the left arm, lefty or righty. This wasn't an FU to lefties, it was an FU to contrarians that wear the watch on their right arm. People who wear a watch on their right arm already look stupid.

lefty here. I wear mine on my right wrist with the crown on the bottom left. I think it looks out of balance, but actually makes more sense than having the crown on top regardless of which wrist it is worn on.

**** that guy, he is wrong and dumb.

Guess I definitely am in the minority I wear it with the crown facing in, and I rarely ever use the crown (only when scrolling through friends). I personally think it looks way better like this than on the bottom. Lefty, wearing it on right wrist with buttons closer to my body.

I wear mine like this too, I think it looks better and using it like this feels natural to me.
