I had the exact same thing happen to me. At 10:24 AM (6 minutes before priority cutoff), the FedEx tracking noted "Delivery Exception - Future Delivery Requested." I called FedEx, and they confirmed the exception, but they have no idea why -- according to them, it was requested by the "customer." Since I didn't request it, I assume Apple did. They will follow up with me.

Same thing happened to me - I got to work this morning as the Fedex guy was walking in packages in hand. The website said 'delivered by 10:30 AM,' so I assumed he had my package. Nope. Then I check the website and it says 'future delivery requested.' Botch.
