Just got mine from Amazon. I went for second day shipping and was originally told I'd get it Tuesday. I'm a bit happy to say the least!

Wow. I don't know how many copies of Leopard were pre-ordered, but even in my small town in Arkansas there are enough packages from Apple to cause a substantial delay.

My FedEx driver just called and said he's on his way. He asked me if my packaged was "Apple's Leopard." Hehe.

well I just looked up the tracking number and after it was out for
delivery then I got the delivery exception and now it just got sent back to the local FedEx facility

for he delivery exception it made it sound like they made an attempt "Customer not available or business closed - Signature required" it says that for my delivery exception

Its now 12:22PM EST and I just received mine..

Received mine at 8:30 this morning just finished installing on Powermac G5 and Macbook Pro. No problems at all and I did upgrades on both. The FedEx guy was wondering what was in the box because he had about 50 on the truck and already had delivered 5. By the way Software Update doesn't work yet, it says there is a problem with the server. I assume this is on Apple's end.

Edit: SoftWare Update is now working.

Amazon.com or .co.uk because mine still hasnt shipped from the UK one! and still says dispatch estimate 24th October... Damn you amazon! Andi wants some leopard action! A rather strong worded email is en route so that they may decided to update the delivery status, so i could have cancelled the order by now!

Mine got pushed back to 3:30

For everyone who has had a "Delivery exception" occur with their copy, give FedEx a call (1800 Go Fedex). When I called them, I was on hold less than 30 seconds before I got a representative who wasn't sure what was going on with my package but said that she would promptly get in touch with the local NYC facility. She took my name and number, and within 10 minutes my tracking status was updated to show that my copy was on a FedEx vehicle out for delivery.

Clearly Apple must have indeed contacted FedEx and told them that their Leopard shipments were less of a priority, but one call to FedEx seems to get your shipment back on the fast track.

My freaking disc is scratched. I'm installing it anyway (it's checking the install DVD for consistency right now)... and I'm on hold to Apple for a replacement even if it does install. 12 minutes on hold and counting.

I got the same delivery exception message and called FedEx. I was told that Apple sent them an email delaying it throughout the day because their were 200,000 pieces sent.

ok so to anyone who has to wait, mine is worse. apple "sent it the wrong way" they just told me so i wont get it until thursday!!!! i've called them 2x and they won't send it for Saturday delivery. I guess I have to go to the store now, i hope they take edu discounts and have copies!

Mine arrived around 10 this morning. I'm taking by a house of worship to have it blessed before I go home and install it.

BTW, did anyone else hear the trumpets playing and the choir singing when you opened the box?

:)
