It looks like it will be a solid tablet. For me, I just want to stick with Apple though. It's what makes sense for my interests, needs, and I have a lot invested in it to switch now.

specs have been leaked we know it will have the new exynos 5 cpu with mali t604 gpu - which has already been benchmarked . The screen is 2560x1600 slightly higher than ipad 3 at 2048x1536

this info is all over the web

For everyone arguing about whether the iPad shows more of a webpage, here is my iPad2 compared to a photo of the Nexus. Does anoyone have a link to the N10 and iPad 4's benchmarks so we can compare them?

The resolution on the Nexus 7 is as far from "retina" as the iPad mini is. I have one. If you love your iPad you won't be happy with the N7. It's just a big phone minus the phone, if that makes sense.

I'm pretty certain that a 7" screen rocking 216 ppi will provide sharper text compared to a 7.9" screen rocking 163 ppi.

Also not really sure what you mean by your last sentence.

"How the hell we were to know that Apple was abolishing the iPad 3 only after 6-7 months?"

You may remember that back in JANUARY of this year, WELL BEFORE "the new iPad" (iPad 3rd gen) came out, there was a rumor from the supply chain that Apple would introduce TWO iPads in 2012: one in March as usual, AND a fourth generation model IN THE FALL! Remember that? Everybody laughed and dismissed it quickly as ridiculous, BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAS NOW HAPPENED!

I remember reading that and thinking no way. You reminded me.

the mac pro was rumoured to be refreshed during wwdc 2012, that didn't happen. In retrospect, if people had forgone the ipad3 in wait of ipad4, and that did not get refreshed in November, then they would have wasted a year waiting.

The problem with rumours is, how the heck are we supposed to know what to believe until said rumour comes true? Choosing to believe in a rumour is literally like flipping a coin.

Seems to me the rumor mongers have been pretty spot on lately...

I use my iPad3 every night for roughly three hours straight and I have never experienced any of these so called heat issues.

but then again, some people are just going to complain about something. doesn't matter how perfect the product is.

I agree with you there. I just have no interest in Android other than the fact that it is a change of pace. But everytime I use one, I get annoyed quickly and the "newness" quickly fades.

Also, I doubt I will be buying any kind of Samsung mobile device any time soon... For that reason alone, I could care less how good the Nexus 10 is, I won't be buying it. I am happy with my iPad 2 at the moment. Now I just need to decide if I want to pull the trigger on the iPad 4, or wait for the 5th.

Agreed. Too many rumors are guaranteed as being accurate from close inside sources yet never pan out to being true. Just have to wait.

I feel gipped ... bought iPad 3 only 5 months ago

I was expecting an iPhone 5 release ... and an iPad Mini (which I'd rather have a full size personally ) ... bought my iPad 3 only 5 months ago ...

With an iPad 4 released so soon, I do feel somewhat gipped ... had I known, I certainly would have waited ....

No wonder Apple keeps things hush-hush ... maximizes sales. Wonder how many others are/have also going/gone thru similar experiences with Apple?
