Here's a simple one or two
setting for how long you touch screen to activate copy
(I'm alway activatig copy now in safari)
setting for how far you tilt before rotating screen

1) Option to disable passcode lock if paired to a certain device. So if I'm sitting within 30 feet of my laptop at home or work, it should assume the device isn't lost or stolen.

2) Option to disable landscape mode on a per-app basis (under the keyboard settings)

horrible SMS number layout in OS 3.0

I hate the new configuration for the number keyboard when keying in a phone number in OS 3.0. The numbers were nice and big and laid out like a phone before and it was easy to key without having to check accuracy.

I find the alphabet keyboard fine for messaging, it works great with the predictive text and a great strength of the iphone, but for phone numbers you just cannot be sure you are being accurate with keys in that size

I must now double check every phone number keyed in, something I rarely did before using the larger keys of OS 2.2. I make great use of SMS to inform my customers that their repairs are ready to collect and I have no need to database them in my address book, therefore I cannot make use of contact search.

I don't understand the need for the change - surely if I am making an SMS and have switched to the number keyboard, it makes sense to assume I would like to enter some numbers quickly and easily?

I hope I'm not shouting into a bucket here - but hey I feel better already :)

Here's a great idea for the next update:

When you exit the SMS App, it automatically defaults back to the list of people instead of staying in the conversation. This way, whenever you open the SMS App, you will never accidentally send a message to the wrong person. :)

Also, the Safari browser should have a "Find on this page" box, where we can type in a word, and it will find it on that webpage.

:apple:

I'd like to see a more customizable user interface. Ways that we could change icons, while still keeping our phone's looking as if Apple had sent it that way. I also wish for such things as there being no "suction" as to where the icons go.

A "-" is an icon. iPhone runs by this.

Now, who says we can't have a column like _ _ _ - or _ - - _? I think this could help us keep our homescreen's organized. If you'd like, I wouldn't mind explaining better. :)
