I like your blog and photos; both sections of your site are really well assembled. I particularly like your writing style, casual but obeying the rules, save for capitals.

:) thank-you for the positive response.
i'll continue working hard on it. as for the lack of capitals, i just hate the way it looks... so i don't use them.

can i ask how you got it so that you had your own domain url? im making A WEB site and i need some help. so if you could tell me like how you did it (after creating it w/ iweb) thanks:D

Getting your own domain is actually the easiest part. You need a Domain Registrar (I use and recommend GoDaddy.com) and a server to host your site (your ISP probably gives you more than enough space already.)

GoDaddy.com will let you find an available top-level domain (TLD) name and buy it instantly. It's cheap, ranging from $5/yr to $25/yr depending on what you want. You'll need a credit card to complete the purchase. Then you can use their free Forwarding option to automatically forward that domain, to your webserver. For example, my ISP gives me 100MB of free webspace on their servers; http://www.myisp.com/~erondeau/ and then you can put as many different sites below that as you want. I've got josephstoreyarchitecture.com stored as http://www.myisp.com/~erondeau/josephstoreyarchitecture/ so my www.josephstoreyarchitecture.com is simply forwarded to http://www.myisp.com/~erondeau/josephstoreyarchitecture/ Just make sure there's an index.html file at the root of that subdirectory (which iWeb will do for you automatically) and you're golden.

Your ISP will probably be able to do all of this for you, including buying the domain name, although they may charge a premium for the service. Likewise, most domain registrars can hook you up with free or cheap web hosting and even custom email as well.

I'm very, very, very amateur at this; I own about a half-dozen different domains now but I just buy them for fun. Then again, I collect personalized licence plates as well. Something about being one-of-a-kind I suppose....

I've totally redone mine now. I used one of the basic themes and just changed the background so it's pretty mundane but I think it looks alright now. Let me know anyway.

The homepage gives you the option to view two different blogs, one my personal one and the other my Reflective Journal which I have to do on my current work placement. It's all written in Irish but any feedback on the design and layout would be great.

Thats mine - still cant solve the blog issues with iWeb '08:

www.teknopunk.com

Everything - iWeb '08 - hitting borders here and there and looking for other solutions than iWeb (its an easy and cheap solution, to start with).
Still working on the site, I see it as a learning project for my first website with lots of experimenting.

Could someone please give me a direction with the darn blog problems, I suffer?
