Oh well, I guess I'll get a 4S in a few weeks when the "hype" diesm down. Mind you, unlikey there will be qeues for this one, as most iP4 users won't be rushung to upgrade to a pone that looks the same.

any time I start a sentence with iPhone, she goes 'OMG shut up with that.'
shes on her crappy Droid Pro, but shes ok with it. She said she was willing to wait for the LTE version to come out, and she wants to wait until all the kinks get sorted out (she remembers antennagate, and shes not even into tech news).
I will be a good man and buy her iPhone 5 (ill pay up to $700). She just moved to Verizon too, so no contract update for her until next year..
i don't want my girl carrying around obsolete devices. I expect her to have the latest and greatest mobile phones, tech gadgets.

Why does one person linking a pic of a redesigned iPhone case get voted down, but the next post wishing for a redesigned iPhone get 4 bumps up?
Personally, I'm on a 3GS. I'll be upgrading no matter what. Aside from the most likely internal upgrades, I hope for a bigger screen, but who knows for another 15 hours?

Same here. Gazelle offered me $326.
Even if I'm not due for an upgrade (ATT seems to play with these dates at iPhone releases) I can still buy one at the year renewal (or off contract) for not much more than normal (subtracting my $326) and have the updated one!
I'd like a better camera and I'd pay for more memory if it was an option. I'd love some image stabilization on the video. And faster would be good too

Nah don't worry, my brother said the other day he really likes it too, when I was all uppity about wanting a redesign. It's pretty black & white (NPI), no redesign no sale; and if it weren't for contract for 4 already, quite possibly complete platform shift - they already lost me at Lion, surely Windows Phone deserves checking out too.
On the flip side:
- You don't still need to market the iphone 4 AND 3S if there is i re-desgined iphone 5. (The 3S is dropped).
-You don't need to make a 8GB iPhone4 to distinguish the price point with the new phone.
And where are the pics, the parts? Nothing.
The missing phone? That never showed up, becasue it looked the same and the finder though it was just a good old iPhone 4.

Maybe not a 4.5", but the new iPhone should have at least a 4" screen ... 3.5" is just way too small these days.

all the evidence or lack thereof of an iPhone 5 can be explained by: Apple is WAY more cautious about the iPhone 5 than the 4S. They don't care if the 4S is leaked through iTunes, but the iPhone 5 is huge.
as for the idea that the iPhone 5 case designs are based off of prototypes-- they definitely didn't get that deep into a redesign and then ditch it for an "S" model.
and the BIGGEST argument...
They didn't need another 4 MONTHS to squeeze a 8mp camera and an A5 in an iPhone 4 body.
I rest my case. If there's no iPhone 5, I'm sure steve jobs is not happy with Tim Cook (since Tim has been running Day to day for over a year). Apple MUST know they will take a HUGE hit without a redesign. Giving me assistant and a better camera will not make me forget i Don't have a gorgeous, new, and "unique" phone.

I'd be more tempted by WP7 if Microsoft would have a reasonable upgrade schedule. They're doing interesting work but man are they slow.
These events are so exciting. It's almost like being a kid again and writing your Christmas list although with an Apple event your wishing what will be announced.
Or the delay could be due to a combination of low stock of A5s which were allocated to the iPad 2 and they wanted to have some hardware to show off for the iCloud launch besides an iPad Touch (which doesn't even have 3G service).
