What 5.30.10 is different from 5.30.02? I have 5.30.02 with AirPlay/HomeKit support.

I got my update today finally. It’s great and in HomeKit I can change the input very easily. Happy LG 2018 TV owner here. 😊👍🏼📺

I received the update in Florida today. Haven’t tried HomeKit but AirPlay works great on my OLED B8.

The update dropped today on my 2018 65SK9000PUA. Version 5.30.10. Update was automatic via WiFi.

Updated today automatically OTA in the UK. I have an OLED55B8. I don’t use home kit, so haven’t tried it out. Airplay 2 is fine.

OTA update in PT arrived yesterday for my LG OLED 65 B8 (OLED65B8PLA).

Screen mirroring to my LG via Airplay2 does not display all video content from my iPhone or iPad - seems to be a DRM issue - in these cases the LG shows black screen where the picture is supposed to be but the menu items (play, pause, etc) do show up on the LG screen
Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Screen mirroring that same content to my Apple TV works perfectly fine

I’m having the same problem:mad: Anyone got any idea how to resolve this, as I can airplay via my Apple TV box

Which content did you try? I tried YouTube and an iTunes movie I bought some time ago. Both where working fine.

Not all content has this issue - I tried NOSTV
I believe only content with DRM is blocked on my OLED LG - anyway airplaying to Apple TV always works fine

I have 2018 model with webOS 3.8 (55SK7900PLA). This will get updated as well, right? Currently only webOS 4 users are reporting back.

Just checked and it seems there is no update for your model right know. I suggest writing an email to Lg or using their chat in the support section.

Seems to mirror with YouTube videos. So guess as others have said, probably doesn’t work with some protected videos?

Just rolled out to my 2018 LG TV over the weekend. Now I can ditch my AppleTV box completely.

Supports Siri turning on and off the TV, supports AirPlay for any app that could AirPlay to the AppleTV box, everything's great.

Ditch AppleTV for this Airplay integration?
Don't even think about it
Apple TV can do so much more and does not have this DMR issue

Yes, AppleTV *can* do so much more; but I don't use 99% of it. I use streaming apps (which my LG TV has native versions of all the ones I care about, including AppleTV+,) and AirPlay to ad-hoc stream things from my phone or laptop screen (slideshows of photos, web pages for multiple people to see quicker than booting up the TV's web browser, streaming odd website video streams that don't have any native apps on any platform, etc.)

To use a car example, I'm about to ditch my mid '90s Ford F-250 for a Rivian R1T electric pickup. Yes, the F-250 has "more capability", but I never use any of it. All the capability I use can be easily replaced by the Rivian.

Just in case anyone is interested and/or helped by this...

I've been unable to power on my 43UK6200PUA with firmware 05.30.10. I emailed LG for advice and got back a response that said, in part:

the full information regarding the Apple Airplay and Homekit setup for our 2018 TVs is yet to be available here [on] our end.

They did promise to keep on this and get in touch once they have more information. But for now, it seems that the 2018 update, at least, is so new that even internally they're not sure what's going on.

In the meantime, I will continue to power on my TV with the remote...like an animal!

How far away is your device from the TV when you try to turn it on? Some TV go off of Bluetooth when they’re turned off, rather than wifi.

My phone is no more than, say, six feet -- just from the TV to the couch. My HomePod mini is literally directly under the TV, on a shelf below the wall-mounted screen.
