You would think that these companies would take their time and do things right. Why not really focus on the design of the phone instead of putting out a piece of crap like that!

Memo to phone manufacturers: If your browser doesn't surf the internet like the "real internet" go back and re-design it. period.

Noone in their right "informed" mind is going to buy that phone with the iphone out there for the same price. The iphone blows that phone away.

But, check the much higher monthly fees for making full use of all the iPhone features vs the Dare on Verizon. Thanks, but no thanks!

You can keep the flash on with the DARE also by simply going into Video mode with the Flash selected. While a video is being taken the flash STAYS on. I suggest you delete the vide however, just in case the video shows too much of your forest activities.

Why do people like Verizon so much? (really a question not a bash on Verizon) I had them a few years ago and they were okay but not any better than AT&T. My sister in-law has them and when we all went out to Oklahoma to visit my wife's parents I still had great signal (AT&T) and paid the same rates where as my sister in-law (Verizon) was on roaming. I'm not sure how roaming really works but I have yet to find a place where my AT&T phone is roaming.

In two separate reviews of quality in about 19 different locations in different states the Verizonservice was rated tops by Consumer reports. (Sprint was last in all of them. Forgot where AT&T was.

All the other phones available were crap. I don't even know what to pick up for the mom. ... I can't believe the prices of the phones. I can't imagine someone spending $200 on a LG 3G flip phone when they could have an iPhone.

I can't believe it either! There is a Verizon store about 5 minutes from my house and the day before I bought my iPhone, I walked in there and looked at what Verizon had to offer, and I couldn't believe it! They had "smart" phones that were no where near as good as the iPhone, yet they were asking $299 with a contract!!! (I feel sorry for the people that recently bought one of those phones and now have a two year contract at $70/month! and all of their friends will have iPhones)

Before watching that video, I knew very little about the LG Dare. Now, after watching the video, I think the Dare is no where near as good as the iPhone. Why would anyone want to enter into a two-year contract at $70 a month and get stuck with something like that, while all of their friends are using iPhones?:confused::confused:

(I almost cringed watching the mp3 player. Keep in mind the history of iPods and how far Apple has come. Any company that is planning on challenging Apple in the music aspect of the cell phones has quite an uphill battle)
.

well my friend has it. the landscape txting is nice, but the rest of it is pretty ******.
the screen is pressure sensitive unlike the iphone. and with the iphone we get apps.
the dare can't really do much. you have to pay an addition $10 over your data plan for gps. stock ringtones are ****** on dare and i don't know if and how they can add custom ones without buying. vid quality is good, but youtube only gets you so far. and it has like 32mb of built in memory, lol.
iphone ftw.
