Can you link to some bad reviews ? I'm curious. I did do a look see before I ordered mine and only found a few positive reviews. I like mine well enough, zero plans to return it. Yesterday (2nd day I had it) it wouldn't wake from sleep, but this morning it was fine.

Can you link to some bad reviews ? I'm curious. I did do a look see before I ordered mine and only found a few positive reviews. I like mine well enough, zero plans to return it. Yesterday (2nd day I had it) it wouldn't wake from sleep, but this morning it was fine.

I just had a scan through. The results seem pretty positive. The two one star reviews were from people buying it for an iMac and a Mac Pro!
I don't believe this has been mentioned anywhere. I went thru the box to see if I could answer the cable question (still no). There is small manual and it mentions LG split screen macOS application.
I haven't installed it yet, and might not, but it seems interesting. You might be able to have two video sources, and put a second video in a PiP source.
"OnScreen Control allows you to easily control the screen configuration for easy customizing workspace on the screen with a few clicks of mouse. In addition, upgraded Screen Split (with PIP Mode) and My Display Presets are all designed for the best, most efficient professional work environment."
I can't seem to link to it. Go to LG.com, and search for "Split Screen". This is actually a welcome surprise. I might try it with a Raspberry Pi I have kicking around.

I contacted Apple chat to ask about the 5k and they seem to be in denial about the product availability last week. They said "the LG Ultrafine 5k Display did not go on sale last week, even for a short time" and "These haven't been ordered at all. This product has not been released at all."
Weird to deny that people have ordered when some clearly have, but it does give hope that they will be offering it before month's end since it still says available December.

Ehhh, the low rating reviews were lame. The three reviews that were one and two stars were all from people who can't read spec sheets to figure out if the product they're buying is compatible with the computer they want to hook it into. That leaves us with 9 mostly positive reviews, which is such a small sample size that you can't get too excited about it one way or another.
LOL -- well, I'm one of the people with an order in for the 5K.. The order definitely happened. The people on the phone don't know what they're talking about.
that's a good sign. meaning it's not 'sold out' now, it was just a mistake it went on sale.
Well I wouldn't bother with it based on what they have written on the UK site. But then again the U.S site seems more positive.
Yeah, it seems they're not supposed to admit that the orders happened so it's a good sign for those of us who still want to order before the discount is removed at the end of the month.
