On the edge about returning my NUUD cases. I spent 200 on two of them and am getting 2 replacements on tuesday. If those ones are exactly the same I will return and maybe get the dog & bones or some other waterproof case. I just love the open screen though.

Ended up returning to sender my order from LP as it was taking to long to arrive. To my surprise my local Apple store actually had a shelf full of the Nuud cases that were apparently put out on Tuesday. Not sure if they have the 6+ cases as I didn't really look.

Ended up returning it though as it failed the water test miserable. I'm going to hold off and wait until the fix the issues with some of the cases.

I received mine last Tuesday and haven't taken it off yet. My AwesomeCable doesn't fit the carving port which is a big let down but I don't really intend this case to be a daily case in the long run. It's a really thin case, girlfriend has the otterbox defender on her 6 and my 6+ is still thinner in the life proof. Sound has diminished in quality and loudness but after a day I got used to it. It feels pretty good to hold but doesn't look like $100 IMO. Will keep it for bike riding, hiking, and camping but will stick with my apple leather case for daily use I beleive. If you don't have the $100 to blow I wouldn't recommend it but if you make ends meet and want a nice protective case go for it.

Anyone here who got the Nuud but are returning it, considering the Catalyst? Saw they are now shipping for the IP6 but preorder and will be available mid March for the 6 plus. May check that out. And it's cheaper too (6 plus is $74.99 I believe)

Read a great review of the Catalyst for the IPhone 6

Yep..didn't see my post about it above? I ordered a catalyst a week or 2 ago and can't wait to receive it. Looks much better than the Lifeproof and hopefully functions way better too. I've watched all the catalyst 6 videos and reviews and I will likely be happy with it.

I finally got around to performing the water test on mine this weekend. It didn't fail as miserably as some have mentioned, but it did admit a little bit of water near the power/screen off switch, on the right side. I performed the test twice, with identical results. The water appears to be coming in via the actual switch cover, and not leaking in around the O-Rings, as nearly as I can determine.

I submitted a warranty claim on Lifeproof's site, and will be waiting to hear from them. I plan to return it for a refund, and get the Dog & Bone wetsuit.

I'm on the fence about keeping this case. The sound is really starting to bother me. I can barely hear text notifications. I have the Seidio obex and I just tried the iPhone in both cases. The Seidio obex re directs the speaker to the back of the case. The lifeproof just directs the sound to the back of the case. There is a big difference in sound between the two. I also notice a big difference in sound between the two from the ear piece. The Seidio is louder and clearer. If I can get over the sound problems I will keep the lifeproof. The exposed screen is awsome. I also love how the headphone jack cover is screwed in. Also the power port on the bottom clicks in nice and tight. The Seidio obex just has plastic flaps over the two ports. I can see them getting loose over time. I would also be worried about going in a pool with the Seidio because the rubber piece can open up. The lifeproof nuud is a great case but I wish they did something to make the sound better.

I agree the sound is very bad. I am on the fence.

I bought 2 cases as soon as they came out. I called them as soon as i opened them to tell them about the gap at the bottom. They were suppose to replace both of them but only sent one and for the inconvenience they let me keep all 3 of them. So I sold one on ebay for 130 bucks. So 2 cases for 70 bucks isn't too bad. ill keep it for that price.

I had the issue of callers on the other end saying that I sounded muffled as well. I read somewhere to remove the phone from the case and put it back in the front of the case with bottom side first, then press in the top and snap on the back part of the case. I havent has any complaints about a muffled sound since I did that.

Cannot be heard on whone with Lifeproof case

I have a 3rd iPhone 6 plus (replaced by Apple) and has had the Lifeproof case on it (replaced twice) for the last 3 weeks. I cannot be heard when I make a call and can barely hear people. Always had Lifeproof in the past and loved them. My iPhone 5 was great with their case. I think this is a combination of the 6 plus issues and Lifeproof just makes it worse. I will try to get Apple to change my 6 plus for a 6. I love everything about the 6 plus except the phone. It is a phone after all and that should be the first thing to work impeccably. I think Apple was so keen on competing with the droid that they got all the bells and whistles and neglected to build a workable phone. VERY disappointed.

I have not had one single issue with the 6 plus, neither has any of my friends or co-workers, so not sure what you are talking about....great device.

My wife has not either and loves her iPhone 6 plus.

Finally, the LifeProof Nuud for iPhone 6 plus is available in white too! Just ordered it.

To Eric 5964: What kind of case do you and your friends have?

Eric 5964: What kind of cases do you and your friends have? I don't think this will solve my problem because I am using it without a case at the moment to test. It is somewhat better but not perfect like my 5 was.

problems with aftermarket cables?

Does anyone here have success with aftermarket cables in the Lifeproof case?

They weren't kidding when their website said the charge port only works with apple brand cables. In fact, only the original included cable works. Any of the apple brand hdmi / vga / 30 pin adapters don't even fit through the port, and forget my collection of aftermarket cables.

I don't see anyone complaining about this though, and I know Lifeproof sometimes makes improvements to their cases. I ordered mine in February with the first round of preorders, and I'm wondering if there's been an update to the design since then. Support couldn't tell me anything about this when i called, but they offered to send me a new one (in two weeks or so when they're back in stock).

I have been able to fit these in my lifeproof case for the 6 and the 5

They are not MFI, but for $7 for a 4 pack, they work for a good amount of time before needing to replace.

These are the only MFI cables I've found that have the same connector dimensions as the apple originals

http://www.amazon.com/Certified-iXC...id=1427137600&sr=8-8&keywords=lightning+cable

Even the popular Anker brand cables on Amazon are bigger than the apple original (by less than 1mm in each dimension) and don't work. Both Anker and Monoprice make the connector body larger on their 10ft cables compared to the 3ft. I have one of the original monoprice 3ft and 6in cables from 2012 (?) when they first introduced their MFI lightning cables. Both are too big, although I read they recently updated their cables to make the connector bodies smaller.

I had lifeproof cases for my iphone 5, 5s, and ipad mini and all of those cases had a MUCH bigger connector opening that took any of the aftermarket cables I own.

After using our Lifeproof iPhone 6 plus Nuud case for 3 days, my recommendation is to stay away from it. It is absolutely horrible. No one can hear me on the other end and say that I am all muffled. Our family has had about 8 Lifeproof Fre and Nuud cases in the last 3 years and they were always flawless.

Really disappointed and sad to see the quality go downhill. I gave them a chance and called customer service. They wanted me to email a pic of the case, serial number, purchase date, before they would even troubleshoot. What? I purchased the case from Lifeproof, so just look up the order number. Crazy! Horrible service.

I think they have gone downhill since Otterbox purchased them. Too bad, because they were a market leader. And to think this case costs $99. Will be mailing it back tomorrow.

I also agree that this is probably the worst case lifeproof ever came out with ! We waited 5 months for this piece of garbage to be released. I had to fight lifeproof to not charge me a 15% restocking fee. What I don't understand is why a $15 red pepper case from eBay sound 1000 times better. They moved the speaker to the back of the case. Lifeproof just has the sound echo threw the plastic back. It's really depressing that This case is so bad. I've used lifeproof cases for every iPhone I've own. No more

I've had a weird issue with my Nuud Case for my 6 (not plus). I had to disable the noise canceling mic because if it was on, I would randomly get a loud feedback noise in my ear while on a call because i'm guessing the sound from the ear piece was traveling to the noise canceling mic.

Anyone else had the issue?

As for the waterproofing of the case, mine did pass the test, but I have not dared to test with the phone inside. I bought my case at Best Buy on 3/13 when they received stock instead of preordering from Lifeproof. Now I do not have to worry about the 15% restocking fee.

They sent me another case, under warranty, and this one passed the water test, so I'm keeping it.

From playing around with the case this much, I wonder if the people who had problems with the charging port cover forgot to open it before taking the case apart, thus inadvertently stressing the hinge on the door. It's very easy to do, and I caught myself doing it a couple of times.

Ordered the black and the white immediately as they became available. My black one passed the waterproof test, but had the same bow in the bottom of the case when the charge port wasn't latched. After a couple weeks of use, the clips that held the charge port closed broke off, so I'm still waiting on my warranty replacement for that one. Just got my white case today. Waterproof test passed good, and overall fit seems greatly improved from what I had with the black case. Hopefully this one works better, or I might give up on lifeproof altogether. My 4 case was amazing, I went through about 5 on my iPhone 5/5s without ever getting one I was willing to use, and went caseless with those phones. So far I like the 6 plus cases. I do have the sound issues, but they seemed to improve with use of my black one, haven't made any calls with the white one on yet to tell. Speaker on the white one seems much better than my black one was for alerts, music, etc. as was the case with the 5 cases, quality seems to improve over time with these. You'd think with the time it took to produce, that it would have been released working properly.

Well it broke. The cable port door has two small plastic clamps that keep the door closed. One broke, what do you expect they are so small and thin. filed warranty claim and said they are on backorder.

Now I just want my $ back, it will just break again. plus the sound was bad

update: Just ordered the Catalyst.

After a few weeks with the case I have to say that it is working pretty well for me.
The good:

No flash or camera problems
Open screen
Thin
Light
Tough
People can hear me and i can hear them
Waterproof
Customer Service

The bad:

Have trouble getting the control center open sometimes
touch ID doesnt work as well about 75% (around 95-98% without case)
Speaker is muffeled and Sometimes I have trouble hearing my notifications but I think my apple watch or PebbleTime will omit that problem.
Charge port only allows first party chargers
Headphones only allows first party headphones (No big deal for me as I use bluetooth everything)
The bottom only appear to attach from the latch at the bottom
Mute switch is stiff
Screen protector it comes with is awful (I cut out a zagg screen protector and use it, it works perfectly)
Back scratches easy

Overall I love the case. I really hope the problems people are having with the latch breaking on the bottom of the case doesn't happen to me but as of yet it is working perfect. Took it to the ocean and pool and performed as expected. Love the case, like the design, I just wish the speaker and touch ID worked better. For the price I would say avoid unless you need a waterproof case, but if you need waterproof its worth it.

I gave this case another chance and bought it from Verizon. I finally got a good one and all was good. This morning I noticed one of the tits broke on the charge port cove. I'm done with this case I'm going back to the seidio obex.
